BEFORE I start about my lessons, I need to tell you about my HORSE! :)

Welllll....my horse is the instructor's very own! So it's very neat to how she connects with him!! ;) So My horse's name is Chaco. He is an Appaloosa, and he has to be motivated alot to do stuff (with love, language, leadership and COOKIES!! lol) He's also pretty old. But I don't know how old...but Debbie knows...I'll have to ask her.

So on Monday I was extreme friendly gaming Chaco and he usually doesn't get scared, but the other day he was just freaking out and stuff. Now we DO NOT whip our horses, but we CAN whip the group to let them know to move their feet. (Or to see if they are comfortable with you doing that) (I was being extreme with the carrot stick and I accidentaly whipped myself...ouch) 

During riding I started learning carrot stick riding. More details on that Monday.

Hello!

 Welcome! This is my blog about my horseback riding lessons and things I learn there, also about helping out around at the barn too :D So this is my first entry!!

So my lessons started a couple of weeks ago, but I just now thought of doing a blog because I turned my journal into a horse journal. Before I begin let me tell you a little about myself, how I came to work with horse, and soem things about my horse. 

Well, first, My name is Anna and I am 12. I first learned about this program in summer of 2008 when a friend asked me to come to one of her horse camp shows. My mom and dad thought it was a very good idea to do this program, so in February we went and talked to Debbie, the main instructor who lives at the camp. We all really liked her, and could tell she really loves what she's doing. So Debbie told us a little about the program, and how it works and we loved it! So last summer we attended two camps, and afterwards found out that we could also take lessons during the fall, winter and spring months, too! So now we're taking lessons, and everything is going well. 

 I haven't the time to talk about my last lesson yet, but I will tomorrow!!! :) :) :)
