Breaks The Rules

Hi everyone. Now tell me how many times does the i before e rule break? Here are just a few that break that rule. Why does the english language have to be so confusing?!

the number "eight" is one. (0= Thank you for your kind words about my little hurt pinky. It is much better, thank goodness. It is much better to type with a happy pinky. lol. It is -8 C here (( burrr)) what is it there where you are ? Hope all is well in your house.

Weight, neighbor and received do follow the rule because the whole rule is I before E except after c and when sounding like A as in neighbor and weigh.
