Apr. 9, 2008 - Hysterectomy
It's been a while. I had an emergency hysterectomy. I like to think that I'm the queen of natural but, after too many months, years really but a few terrible months, of flowing and a prolapsed uterus that was getting way too low I'd had it.
The procedure seemed to go well. I'm still loopy on anesthesia and I'll write more about that later-terribly addicting. I could be soooooo out of it right now on lortab or something if I wanted to.

Apr. 11, 2008 - hysterectomy and meds
Posted by Anonymous
I had an emergency hysterectomy about 4 years ago.
It AMAZES me to this day how many tablets were prescribed, both while in the hospital and after.
I've never been one to take a lot of meds...even with advil, etc. I still only take 1, so getting multiples!!!
Glad you had the clarity to recognize what was going on.
Also...thank you for posting the menus. I haven't looked at them yet, but I was thinking about it when I was shopping the other day and trying to remember if something was or wasn't on the Feingold list.
Take care of yourself. Don't stand for long periods of time, and don't push yourself. (the voice of experience says) it takes longer to recover if you push yourself!
