Dad, Karmyn and I just got home from Little Rock!!  Dominick is doing so well!!!  The spot on his back is smaller than a dime, it's very tiny!!  He was born yesterday, 02/20/2008, at approximately 10:15 AM.  He weighed 8 lbs. 9.5 oz. and just over 19 inches long!! He is the most adorable little guy!!  I got to spend about 45 minutes in the NICU with him.  His surgery to close his back will be tomorrow morning at 930 AM and will take about 3 hours.  Things are so much better than we thought!!!  Besides the spot being so tiny, he is pushing for his bowel movements and urinating which means no catheter!!!!!  And he is using his legs and pushing himself to the head of his bed constantly so that means that he is able to use his legs and will be able to walk!!!  God is so good!!  He answered our prayers so much more than we were even really hoping for!!  Of course we know that God can completely cure this but we never expected news this grand!!!  I'm not sure that they will actually do a Latex allergy test on him but they are treating him as if he were since something like 90% of spina bifida babies are allergic to latex!  Anyway here are a couple of pictures of him and Karmyn!  Sarah will be getting out of the hospital this evening.  For those that do not know he has spina bifida!  We are so proud of this little guy!!
