It seems that the last few days or rather weeks, I have done nothing but post controversial topics in my groups. And it seems to me that there are people who think it is ok to make others feel stupid for their thoughts. These same people tend to take things way out of context and feel that it's ok to hurt other people. I do not insinuate that anyone is stupid and it's unsavory to post what they feel. I will, however, post about it if it is unbiblical. But I do not use anything other than the Bible to point it out. I see no need to tell others how wrong it is to talk about politics from the pulpit when the topic affects those in the congregation. I see nothing wrong with pointing out the unbiblical traits of a particular candidate. I see no problem with pointint out how a bill or other law is unbiblical. Unfortunately, there are those out there that seem to think it's ok to take Christ out of everything. There is nothing wrong with making a picture of Christ and the world. I see nothing wrong with comparing what He did to what's happening in the world today. After all, the Bible is full of pictures. How else are we to understand things if there wasn't a picture painted to compare things to? Yes, I realize that what Christ does is so much more important that anything a human could ever do. But we do not have the capacity to understand it on that level. I realize that what I just said sounds insulting but it's really not. After all, none of us can fully understand the things of heaven and we are not meant to. It's a part of faith. But there are some things that we can compare them to here on earth. Maybe none of this makes any sense but I'm trying to get out all my feelings on it without being insulting.
