Really need prayer...
My oldest sister is pregnant with her 3rd child, so we were all really excited. But she went to he doctor for a check up yesterday and the baby hadn't grown much and they couldn't find a heart beat. She gets a blood test to see if the baby is alright tomorrow (saturday).
Please pray that the baby is alright!
Thank you so much!

Lesson 13 and Chapter 4...finally!!!!
Ok sorry I've not posted a lesson or a chapter for a VERY long time, they were already typed and ready to post, but I just never got around to it for some reason! I hope you enjoy!!
Lesson 13
Whose POV answers:
- Sarah
- Tom
- Both
The Calling of Samuel (1 Samuel 3) with a different POV:
It was dark, being the middle of the night at the Tabernacle, so I couldn’t tell who it was at first. So I went to investigate. I was a curious young mouse then.
I caught a glimpse of the intruder just as he entered a room in which Eli, a priest, slept. It was Samuel. He was a very kind young boy who fed me crumbs every now and then. He had been working here in the Tabernacle since he was six.
This was the second time Samuel had come in the night and gone to Eli claming to have heard Eli calling him.
I listened to their drowsy conversation:
“Here I am, you called me,” Samuel said.
Eli awoke, a little confused.
“Are you sure you’re not just hearing things?” Eli asked.
“I know I heard a voice!”
“I did not call, go back and lie down.”
I saw Samuel tip toe back to his bed.
I skittered to the other side of the room and curled into my usual ball on top of a few strips of fabric.
I remember being woken up when a foot stepped right in front of me. It had scared me to death to shere I jumped and bumped the wall.
After gathering my wits, I, again, pepped around the corner of Eli’s bedroom. It was Samuel, again!
They had started their conversation and I heard Eli’s stunned voice:
“It was the Lord!” he whispered, “Go and lie down, if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening’”
I again saw Samuel go back to his bed.
I stayed awake, hoping I too would hear His voice, but a while after waiting, I heard it:
“Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.”
And here's the chapter, sorry it's not very long...
Chapter 4 – The Work Begins
It was mid-spring, making it time for planting. Adelina’s father had bought two goats, a few chickens, a horse, and a lot of lumber to build a barn. She suspected her father had gotten the money from the plates, quilt, and her mother’s things.
Adelina plowed two weeks after her father had softened the dirt up a bit. She had blisters from the wood and peck marks from the chickens. She did this while her father built the barn. “The only good thing about all this is that it’s not very hot yet,” Adelina reasoned with herself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Schoner hugel,” said Adelina in a drowsy tone.
“Aye, it is that indeed!” he paused a moment, “Why is your father treating you like this Adelina?” he asked out of nowhere.
“Oh I don’t really know, but I suppose everything that has happened to him has hardened him, “she replied in a matter of fact way.
It had started to get warmer and the light breeze that cooled their faces was welcome. They were sitting on the side of a hill that was full of lush green grass, and wild flowers that had seemed to come up over night. It gently sloped down before coming to the small amount of flat land that had a few willow trees before starting up another hill.
This is where they always met for their lessons.
“Well we better get started on our lessons,” began
“Let’s get with it then,” Adelina replied with a lazy tone.
They started their lesson with greeting in English. Adelina had mastered that part.
Adelina yawned and couldn’t think anymore. She couldn’t remember any of the words that she had mastered almost a week ago.
“I think we better stop,”
Adelina didn’t think it that funny. She started to list all the things that hurt on her body to him: “head, hands, feet, skin, it even feels like my hair hurts!”
“I’m sorry,” he said ashamed of himself, he immediately sobered.
The sun was starting to set, giving a yellow glow to the flowers. Both of their hair had gold on the tips.
It was a summer sunset.
“You’ve been asking about me, what about you
“Well Baldric is very nice to me, along with the other monks. I pay for my own food from working in the fields. I’ve started to feel bad for living with them. I asked Baldric about it the other day and he said it was his duty to God to take care of orphans,” he leaned back on his elbows, “Honestly he’s brought me closer to God too. My parents obviously taught me about Him, but….oh I guess you know too.”
Yes Adelina remembered not having enough time to go to church during the warmer months because of planting and then in the winter months the snow was too high for them to even get out the door.
“Why don’t you come to services?” he asked.
“Father never really has been one to attend services, not saying he’s not a God-fearing man, plus he doesn’t understand what they’re saying. I’ve tried to teach him English, but you know him, won’t except any help from anybody, not even his own family. I don’t always catch everything in the service either,” she said. She yawned again.
They both lay on their back. Then Adelina looked at him and he looked at her.
“Are you going to stay here even when we’re older?” Adelina asked abruptly.
“Yes, I think so. But I think we both ought to get home,” he answered simply.
The sun was almost behind the hills bathing them in an orangish, yellowish haze.

I've been awarded!!!
I was awarded by May, thank you very much =D
And I'll give it to Achaeles, Striker and MargoMargolia1
Sorry I havn't posted in a while! And then I keep saying that I'm going to post another lesson, but I don't!!! Sorry about that too. But lets see...I guess just mostly baseball has been goin' on for us. The puppy, Lily, has been pretty good. The only thing she does that's SOOOOO annoying is that she eat plants off the back deck!!! She tips over the pot and pulls out the flower and chews on it. We've lost a few plants that way =(
And that's about all, I think I'm going to post a lesson either tomorrow or Thursday, and this time I promise I will!!

this was so much fun
Ok on Mon night all three of us (us including my two little brothers and I) had a game. So my dad being out of town my mom had to find somebody to take me to my game. So someone from church took me to the game. We played only 5 innings. I pitched 4 of them, and then nobody would believe where my coach put me!!!!!!! She put me at catcher!!! Ok I've never played catcher in my entire life! What was weird was that the girl who caught for me, pitched the last inning. So now we appreciate each other's job. I actually kind of liked it, I only missed a few balls, and I almost threw someone out at 2nd...that's pretty amazing since I can't throw that well =) As far as batting goes I got bumped up to 4th batter since our usual 4th batter wasn't there. I stole home 2 times and hit a double, so I was pretty happy with the way I played.

Have you heard about our "lake"???
So this is my little brother's new puppy. Hopefully you can see it!
Thanks to AragornFan I have finally accomplished putting pictures on here! She has been a very interesting experience so far. She tries to eat EVERYTHING!!!!
Last night my game was cancelled due to wet fields. It rained some more yesterday making our back yard "pond" into a back yard "lake". Which really niether are supposed to go. But our vegetable garden is flooded, so we don't know how much of it will survive. Then there are tens of billions of worms in our "lake" so my youngest brother has been "saving" them. This "saving" includes picking up worms about 6 inches long and throwing them all in one place. This kills them and so there are tens of billions of dead worms in one place. So now our back yard stinks like fish and dead worms. So nobody, except my youngest brother, goes back there if it can be helped.
So that's about all that's been happenin' around here.
• Jun. 3, 2008
Rain =(
The last few days it has been so warm and awesome, perfect for all our baseball games. I had a game yesterday and we won by a lot, then both my younger brothers played although only one won. But then last night it stormed, REALLY bad!!!!! It even woke me up because of how loud the thunder was! So it didn't stop till like 10 this morning. And our yard, which is kind of low, is flooded. You could seriously go swimming in our back yard. Although I wouldn't want to becuase there are like a million worms each 6-7 inches long! It was creepy seeing them. I had to walk out to our garden, that just so happens to be in the very back, and I bent down to look at something and there was a worm. So that sounds weird for all the guys, but for us girls, it's bad! And then we got really heavy winds this morning.
But other than that its been pretty good.
I'm going to post a lesson tomorrow...finally!

Memorial Day
I just got home from Missouri for Memorial Day and my grandfather, being the big research guy that he is, found this write up on the song Taps. I thought I'd post this instead of what I did (which I'll post in a few days) for Memorial Day. I know it's kind of long, but it really is worth reading...believe me!
Pass it along if you will please!
If any of you have ever been to a military funeral in which taps were played; this brings out a new meaning of it.
Here is something EVERY American should know. Until I read this, I didn’t know, but I checked it out and it’s true:
We in the
But, do you know the story behind the song? If not, I think you will be interested to find out about its humble beginnings.
Reportedly, it all began in 1862 during the Civil War, when Union Army Captain Robert Ellicombe was with his men near Harrison’s Landing in
During the night, Captain Ellicombe heard the moans of a soldier who lay severely wounded on the field. Not knowing if it was a
When the Captain finally reached his own lines, he discovered it was actually a Confederate soldier, but the soldier was dead.
The Captain lit a lantern and suddenly caught his breath and went numb with shock. In the dim light, he saw the face of the soldier. It was his own son. The boy had been studying music in the South when the war broke out. Without telling his father, the boy enlisted in the Confederate Army.
The following morning, heartbroken, the father asked permission of his superiors to give his son a full military burial, despite his enemy status. His request was only partially granted.
The Captain had asked if he couldhave a group of Army band members play a funeral dirge for his son at the funeral.
The request was turned down since the soldier was a Confederate.
But, out of respect for the father, they did say they could give him only one musician.
The Captain chose a bugler. He asked the bugler toplay a series of musical notes he had found on a piece of paper in the pocket of the dead youth’s uniform.
This wish was granted.
The haunting melody, we now know as “Taps” used at military funerals was born.
The wards are:
Day is done.
Gone the sun.
From the lakes.
From the hills.
From the sky.
All is well.
Safely rest.
God is nigh.
Fading light.
Dims the sight.
And a star.
Gems the sky.
Gleaming bright.
From afar.
Drawing nigh.
Falls the night.
Thanks and praise.
For our days.
Neath the sun.
Neath the stars.
Neath the sky.
As we go.
This we know.
God is night.
I to have felt the chills while listening to “Taps” but I have never seen all the words to the song untilnow. I didn’t even know there was more than one verse. I also never knew the storybehind the song and I didn’t know if you had either so I thought I’d pass it along.
I now have an even deeper respect for the song than I did before.
Remember those lost and harmed while serving their country.
Also remember those who have served and returned; and for those presently serving in the armed forces.
Please send this on after a short prayer.
Make this a Prayer wheel for our soldiers…please don’t break it…

Explaining things...
Ok everyone Mrs. Marlow commented on my last chapter and made a very good point. She said that it would probably only take days instead of weeks to get from Germany to England. So if you read the last chapter in my previous entry they landed near Bamburgh, England which is almost in Scotland. So it's pretty far north (Bamburgh is somewhere in there, but it's not shown):
![]()
But where they started in Germany has got a great affect also. I did not pin point what town/city they lived in before moving b/c there was so little time there and it didn't seem that important. But now I guess it is important. So I will think up on that part of the story. But anyway, I had already kind of thought about this fact b/c I knew her mother had to die and it had to be an overall horrible voyage! So I had decided earlier that they live on the other side of Denmark. Denmark is that little finger thing that is sticking out on top of Germany (which is shaded orange). So they had to sail all the way around Denmark and then make their way up to Bamburgh, which takes them into the middle of the ocean since Bamburgh is so far north (path A):

(pppllleeeaaasseee say you can see that picture!)
Now you may or may not have already caught my trouble here. So here it is:
Why didn't they just walk or ride across Germany to the little indention and then sail across the Sea?
I understand that wasn't a very good way of putting it but basically why didn't they take path B(it kind of looks like a D though)?
But that is the problem and I have NO answer for that yet. B/c it probably would've been cheaper just to walk and then sail, so it would be more logical that it happened that way! But like I said I don't know why they wouldn't, but they just did! So if anybody has an suggestions on how that could have happen, feel free! But another option is that I could change it, I do have an alternate plan. So what does everybody think?

Chapter 3-The Start of a New Beginning
It took a week for the ship’s repair. But they were headed for
Adelina avoided her father as much as possible. And he rarely talked to her. If he ever looked at her it was with those cold eyes.
“LAND!!!!!!!!!” yelled a man who was at the front of the boat.
Everybody, including the captain, who was usually not too excited about anything, rushed to the front to see the long awaited land.
They saw a thin strip on the horizon which they all knew was their new home. It was a grayish greenish color, but it was still very inviting after seeing so much of the sea.
The lady’s dresses were stiff, wrinkled, and worn from the voyage. Their hair was in disarray. They men weren’t much better with their torn clothing and uncut hair.
The food smelt like moldy cheese and stale bread and nobody had eaten much of it for the past week because of it.
It took them another week to reach land after weaving around reeves and then the wind stopped for a day.
That week was the longest many of them had ever felt, just to be barely moving was bad enough. But at least it wasn’t very hot or cold.
The ship hit land a day later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adelina’s father lifted only two out of the four trunks they had originally brought with them.
“Come along,” he said roughly to Adelina, she quickly obeyed.
She, along with everybody else, kind of swayed back and forth as they walked on land, one of the sailors told them it was because they were all so use to being on the ship.
The landscape was beautiful, although almost dreary because of out wet it was from a spring shower it must have had just the day before. The land was a little muddy but if you looked far off you could see rolling hills with a grassy covering. Overall it was breath taking.
The ship had landed about fifteen miles away from Bamburgh, but there was a very small settlement close to shore.
It wasn’t much to look at though.
“Where is everybody?” Adelina asked herself. In her mind she had pictured playing children and busy streets. But there was only a church, less than a dozen houses, and a well sitting in the middle of it all.
Though the settlement was considered part of Bamburgh, Adelina called it “Schöner Hügel” meaning “Beautiful Hills.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since no one had offered to take
A few seconds later he had the feeling somebody was watching him. He jumped around to see a monk.
He was dressed in a brown cloak and he had thin brown hair. He was pleasantly plump and had a twinkle in his eye.
“Oh, I’m sorry to scare you young man, but…” he was abruptly interrupted.
“Wait,” said
“That’s it! How are you speaking German?” he asked relieved he had figured it out.
“Oh I’m very sorry young man. I should’ve introduced myself first,” he talked quick and almost nervously.
“My name is Baldric, I am a monk at that church right over there,” he pointed to the small church that could probably hold less than twenty-five people. But none the less, it was quite tidy by the looks of the garden.
“I couldn’t help myself but to ask you where your parents are young man.”
“My name is
“So,
“Um,”
“Oh you won’t be a bother! You came just before spring. God made it so nice these days that I don’t think you’ll be inside much anyway. Come along!” he continued on and on about the weather, about the boat Jordan had come in and such, but Jordan wasn’t really paying attention, though he nodded his head in agreement with everything.
They walked slowly to the church. They made an odd pair.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adelina and her father bought a house that someone had built for new settlers. Lots of people living there had done this for extra money.
Adelina was very tired, but the landscape and their small house was breath taking.
Their new house was set on the outskirts of the small settlement on the side of a hill. The house itself was plain, but the many hills behind it along with the beautiful sunset made the house look more extravagant. Plus the idea of an actual, cozy home and a bed made it inviting after their long voyage.
They stepped inside together and her father set the trunks down.
Surprisingly there was a table with four chairs, a bed with a bunk type bed that fit under it. There was also a fire place, other than that there was nothing, not even a window.
“Unpack and go to bed. I’m going to Bamburgh,” said her father.
“Are you going to get some more furniture or food?” Adelina asked innocently.
“NO!!!” he said with practically a shout.
Adelina suspected he was going to find someone to teach them both to speak English, but she dared not ask.
He stomped down the path towards Bamburgh.
It was still a little light but Adelina needed candles, she went to the two trunks.
When they had originally packed, they had packed four trunks; one with her mother’s clothes and kitchen supplies. Another with herself and her father’s clothing. The other two had had more supplies and memory things like her grandmother’s valuable plates, and the fine sewn quilt.
She opened both trunks and saw that he had brought the ones with their clothes and supplies.
Adelina teared up when she found the plates and quilt not among the things in the trunks.
The tears started to flow, she felt alone. She didn’t know what to do, her father, she felt, was not going to be easy on her because she was a girl or because of her age. Her mother was gone, along with everything she was familiar with.
Adelina slipped into her gown, she never found any candles, grabbed a blanket or two and pulled out the bed.
Amazingly she fell asleep quickly.
If you think the story is going to be sad the entire time (since these first few were pretty sad), it's not. The next part is pretty good, and not sad.
Thanks for reading!

Too Busy
I havn't posted for a while! Well lets see, my sister did eventually leave, we're actually going up to her house though next weekend for my other sister's graguation for college (YAY!!!!).
Tonight my mom's cooking a dinner for our church. Our church is having a special thing on a few Wednesdays. We didn't get to go last Wed. so I don't know if the speaker is good or not =)
And b-ball is soooo busy!! Although I kind of like it that way...it always gives us something to do, plus it's kinda somethin' we do as a family. I have practice Mon, Wed, and Fri. Then my younger brother has practice on Mon, and Wed. And then my other brother has practice Mon and Tues. So it's always hectic on Mon b/c I play at a different park than the other two.
So that is also why I havn't been posting any more of my story/lessons. Which makes me sad b/c I enjoy doing them so much! I'm also trying to finish up with school, so that doesn't help either!
ttyl!

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! *pulls hair out*
I'm soooooo tired I'm going to pass out. My sister has been here since Wednesday and I have enjoyed her visit with her kids, but I could just about scream. I was kicked out of my room b/c they're stayin' in there. Then on Thursday I carried the heaviest stack of books ever that had ALL the school I was going to until tomorrow into the computer room/library. So I'm kinda stuffed in here now. Thankfully though softball was canceled do to the rain, my coach has practice set up for Mon, Wed, and Fri. But they are leaving tomorrow, and I will miss them, but I will enjoy getting my bed back!
I was going to type somethin' else and now I forgot! Huh....I can't remember. AH! I hate when that happens!
I guess I'll ttyl!

Everything's startin' back up!!
Well the boys have had baseball practice for the past two weeks, but I just started softball last night. It was a pretty good practice and I'm 1 of 2 pitchers. And the other pitcher is a very good catcher/3rd baseman, which means I pitched almost the entire practice, so today my arm is practically ready to fall off. We had a 2 hr. 15 min. practice and more than 45 minutes of it was somebody pitching, but when i batted the other pitched to me. Thankfully since my dad worked me during the off season, I can actually hit. I could barely hit it last year b/c of working on my pitching (the sacrifices of a pitcher!).
I still have to work on not throwing like a girl, but that I guess isn't as necessary as hitting.
So it looks like I'll be the main pitcher this year (which I'm very happy that it happened!) and all the baseball/softball games/practice schedules are going to be flooding in between the 3 of us!

OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've got 200 comments!!!!!!!!!! Well actually 201 *lol*. Thank you everybody for commenting me!
As far everything that's been happening in my family, not much since we got Miss Puppy (well that's what i call her). I've been trying to finish school. I only have 3 more weeks of math. WHOO HOO!!!!! That's the subject that I'm not very fond of! I have my last geography test this Friday before we start a quick book study.
That boys have started baseball and I should be starting softball pretty soon, I'm starting to get anxious about that. But the weathers been SO nice, like in the 70s so I've been reading outside.
That's about all!

More of my story...
Here's more of my story. Now I call them "chapters" but I'm not actually sure what my story is going to turn into yet. But anyway here ya go:
Chapter 2-Anew Taken Aback
The voyage was to last one month, which was actually a shorter length trip then most.
Adelina and Jordan were the only kids on the entire ship so they stuck close together.
Adelina’s father had loosened up a little, but he still had a cold look in his eyes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Do you think the captain’s a little mean to the crew?” Adelina asked her mother a week into their journey.
“Well a captain has to be strict, just think if he wasn’t. The ship wouldn’t get anywhere which means we wouldn’t get there, now wouldn’t that be bad?” she told her.
“Yes I guess so, but he doesn’t seem like the kindest man either,” she said.
“Now Adelina, I must agree he doesn’t use the nicest language, especially considering there are women and children aboard, but that is no reason to judge.”
Her mother was the kindest person anyone could ever know and she had quickly made friends with the people aboard, she was Adelina’s roll model, but she would not stand any of her children being disrespectful to their elders.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Three weeks into the voyage a thunderstorm popped up from nowhere.
Everybody was on deck making it worse. Nobody enjoyed being below deck.
“Don’t you think this ship and voyage are amazing Adelina?” asked
“Honestly I’m not too fond of it, it’s just so boring seeing only water and then there’s nothing to do all day!” she obviously was not enjoying their trip.
“Well right now I have to admit that the waves are starting to get choppy and the wind’s picking up,” he said seriously.
“Everyone below deck!!!!!!!!!” was repeated over and over by the captain. Adelina noticed his voice was fading from all the wind.
Every woman and child went down while the men helped secure the ship.
The ship rocked and turned, making everybody sick to their stomach. Everybody trucks were sliding back and forth and everyone had to dodge them making it even worse. They had to try and secure them so they wouldn’t bust the ship up from the inside.
The waves gashed at the ship so hard Adelina wondered how the ship was still floating.
“Is everything tied down?” he asked.
Nobody answered but a few nodded their heads.
“Okay then why don’t we all sit down and have a story?” he said it like it was just a normal day on land.
A few people who were still not feeling very good didn’t join them, but that was okay with everyone.
He started telling the story of Jonah and how all the crew was scared during the storm. He told of Moses and the crossing at the
This actually calmed the people under the deck, even though they were rocking and it was cramped.
Finally the storm calmed down, nobody went on deck because they feared of what they might see, plus they still had had no orders. They all thought it was offal quiet up there.
Adelina, on the other hand, had wide eyes and a shivering frame. She was one
They still had not word of what was happening and the ship wasn’t really moving that much, making the crew actually consider their surroundings.
Adelina had recovered also and looked around. She did not see the dark haired lady that she knew as her mother. She started asking around and wondering.
“Everybody on deck immediately,” said a voice of a sailor. It sounded tired and a bit mournful.
Everybody stepped up to see a wet, tired crew, and all of them were looking out to sea on one side of the ship.
The sea was as peaceful as ever and looked like it had stayed that way the entire time of the storm. Though one of the ship’s masts were broken and it had fallen on the deck.
All the people who had come up with her immediately had solemn faces that matched the crew’s.
When they had all gathered together, they captain started saying these words:
“The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh,” he said this while patting Adelina’s father on the shoulder.
Adelina’s heart skipped a beat and she turned pale, she knew what had happened.
Some of the women with them started to weep but Adelina’s eyes didn’t drop a tear, she was in too much of shock.
Abigail, Adelina’s mother, had died during the storm. Parts of the ship’s mast had broken off and hit her in the head as she was running.
Adelina’s father looked at he with cold eyes as if it was her fault her mother was dead.
Well I hope everyone enjoyed! Comment please to tell me what you thought!

Lesson 12
I havn't done one of these for a while! I've been pretty busy though.
Lesson 12
“Batter-up! We haven’t got all day!” Tom shouted. “Stop yelling” Katie said. She grabbed the bat and scowled at her brother. He scowled back. “No girls,” Sean piped up from the pitcher’s mound. “What do you care? She’s not on your team,” Tom snapped. Sean glared at Katie for a moment then shrugged. “Suite yourself. But I’m not going easy on her just ‘cause she’s a girl.” “Who’s asking you to?” Katie said. “Play ball!”

Lesson 10 (the beginning of my story)
Here is lesson 10, but its not really a lesson, basically I'm posting the first "chapter" of my story to make sure it has a catchy beginning.
Chapter 1-Dismal Thoughts
Ten year old Adelina, dressed in black, walked home with her mother and father from her brother’s two funerals, who had died of the deadly disease that swept through Germany. Adelina, in a daze, had tears in her hazel eyes, but she refused to let them fall. Her long, shiny, brown hair had been braided, but now mostly hung on her shoulders.
Just a month before, they had lost most of their crops from drought. “The whole town was going to help each other, how could this happen?” she thought.
“We’re leaving in a week,” her father said, interrupting her thoughts, “we’re going to
“Okay, how much can I bring?” her mother replied quietly.
Her mother had been forced to marry her father but she always did exactly what her husband told her to do and stood behind him a hundred percent.
Both her parents were dazed, just like Adelina. Adelina was a spitting image of her mother of who now had tear stains on her cheeks, and her dark, wavy hair lay on her shoulders. Her father, she just now suddenly noticed, had begun to put himself in a hole from his grief for his only sons, she knew he would have rather had her die than her two brothers.
She had heard talk of families leaving, but she never thought her mother and father would leave their homeland.
But she had no choice, she would be leaving her homeland and that was that.
Adelina thought of her new life in

When his parents died the day before he had been thinking on what would become of him ever since. They had been planning on going, so it would already be paid for. Besides, most of the village was leaving sooner or later.
Yes, he would go on the voyage to
He hurried off to his home to gather his belongings.
Suddenly tears came to his eyes, he felt so alone, and he was, but now he would have to take care of himself.
But still that haunting feeling of being alone nagged at the back of his mind as he continued to pack things up.
Well I hop you enjoyed it!!! ~Lillian
