Beginning Our Journey

Day #1 as a Stay at Home Mom..

Posted in Home

I did not count the weekend as I always have those. But Monday was officially my first day as a stay at home mom... It STORMED... Boy did my daughter take a hissy fit because we had our coats on and I saw the clouds. No outside play.

We did a lot of things like blowing bubbles, making prints, cooking, and playing. Here are a few pics... As you can see FIRST thing in the morning Tristan started my day off right! lol
MY DAUGHTER NEVER DID THIS!!! My son is so different! lol

I also started off Sunday on cleaning. I was not online to see if Amy (see Cleaning Challenge on side) had the schedule. That is fine. I can print it out later and just work behind. I did clean my house top to bottom though. Even rearranging cupboards. Matching lids to tupperware and tossing lids with no containers to go on.

It was nice to start the week off with a clean house but man did my son mess things up! He is work! But soooo cute!

We did get some outside play on Sunday though.

And Alyssa would only smile nice because I told her we would send this picture to Lazy Town maybe...

So that is how my first day at home went... Thank you Jesus for the wonderful blessings!

Good to see you!!! Miss you already but so glad that your first day as an official SAHM went well!!!! I got to be a SAHM when Logan was 4 and it was AWESOME!! Of course, he was with me at work everyday before that, but I almost think that is worse that leaving them somewhere...lol!! We got our Math U See today and Logan is listening to his skip count cd over and over and begging to do more than one lesson...lol!! Can't wait to hear from you again!

Hi Linda!!! Sounds like a wonderful first day home. I hope it's followed by countless more days at least as rewarding as that one! LOL at Tristan's artwork on his leg - boy I remember the days when Kennady did that to herself pretty much daily!

My two pre-schoolers still mark on themselves. My son (5) recently took a marker (that says it's washable..yeah, right!) and drew all over his arms and face. We tried to scrub it off but much of it stayed. It was kind of embarrassing, taking him out. LOL
