Ollies Bargin!!! Woohoo!

Posted in Resources

I got the $249.xx Hooked on Phonics set from Ollies for $59.xx! I was thrilled.  I was not going to go in there but I did just to kill some time and right in the door was the display! I am thrilled!!!!

I also got a learning money thing and my CLE order came in today! Woo hoo! I am in heaven!!!

Hi everyone. Staying at home is going WONDERFUL! I am also working full time from home this month too. It is an adjustment and I am super busy. No school for now because I am still working. So it is hard! So I am not expecting too much school for this month. Maybe next. But we do take each day on its own to find new things.

I got some magic schoolhouse books from a friend. She likes those. Anyone watch the show on tv? I am wondering if it is any good. I think we will try and see some of it once we move.

Ok well I have bills to pay, kids to play with and oh so little time... be back online soon! Miss and love everyone!

Apr. 11, 2006 - Hi LINDA!!!

Hey glad to see you posting on your blog!!! When my mom ran her daycare when I was a teen, the kids LOVED magic schoolbus and so since I was always obligated to help out, I ended up watching it alot. It's actually a pretty good show from what I remember (that was almost 10 years ago) but it's got lots of science type stuff in it.

Glad everything is going well. We're bored without you!

Magic schoolbus is great. Covers lots of science topics. You can watch the show on TLC at 7 in the morning.

My kids like them. But there are a few that are a little New Ageish and some have evelution discussion in them. You'll find a little of this in all PBS shows. I don't know where you stand in these regards. We have just explained to our boys that some of them aren't appropriate for them. They are pretty much toward the educational in the edu-tainment spectrum.

Apr. 12, 2006 - Magic School Bus

Posted by kympossible
Hi Linda!!! Great to see an update from you! I was at Ollie's last night and saw the Hooked on Phonics - and I thought of you! LOL My kids used to really love Magic School Bus (the boys are too old for it now of course) and I often borrowed specific MSB books or videos from the library to use for Science! The only one I ever objected to (and therefore never borrowed) was the one where they go back in time to the dinosaurs etc, and only because there's an 'old earth' and evolution mindset to it.

Keep having fun at home! (Miss you on the boards though)

Blessings,

Kym

What a great bargain. You know I live in the same town and I have yet to go to Ollies. Sounds like I'm missing out on a lot!
