Beginning Our Journey

Birthdays, Butterflies and Boats

A lot has been happening in our world recently! lol
My baby turned 5!  How could this happen? Where did the time go!?

Our monarch caterpillar came out as a butterfly ON her birthday! That was amazing! We have one more in the chrysalis still.

Talk about fun hands on learning!

And today we went on a Boat. Ok Ship? Gateway Clipper Magestic Cruise. It was free day and it was a LOT of fun! Homeschoolers galore! Since it was during school time the only kids that could come were homeschoolers or ones with cool enough parents to let them off school I guess.

Wow! That is VERY cool! I would love to know more about getting on a ship with my kids.

And, hey! We're raising caterpillars, too!

I LOVE days that are accessible to homeschoolers only! We recently went to the YMCA Trout Lodge here in Missouri... AFTER the public schools started. We were one of, like, TWO families there with school-aged kids. LOL... Any other families there were with children too young for school. It was a blast! No activities were crowded, the swimming area of the lake had all modest-wearing swimmers (since we were the only swimmers! ^_^), and the counsellors had time to just chat! It was like a private country club! At least, that's what I imagine a private country club would be like.

Very cool to hear you and your family had a nice time on DD's birthday. Happy birthday to her!

Many blessings,
Christi

Well aren't those two cute little kids on the boat. We had such a great time.

The butterfly on Alyssa's hand is a boy. I can see the scent glands.

Praying for you guys!
