Homeschool Baking Day at the Burtts

Posted in Field Trips
Carrie and I were going to sign our kids up for a homeschool  co-op, but the response was not high enough and it got cancelled. So we decided to get together once a month and do a little cooking class thing with our own kids. It was today and was super fun! My daughter had a BLAST and has been asking already when we are going back! I was impressed at how good the kids were and took to each other right away.

Here are a few pictures. We theme "dogs" . We painted suncatchers, did mazes and made puppy chow. The only thing we did not get to was our book. But that is ok, I had picked a tear jerker that neither of us was sure we could read without crying anyways :)

Alyssa and Mattithia, I pulled her hair back with a tie as soon as I got done taking this picture.

A good friend online, Melly, homeschool mom to 3 kids, sent Flat "Logan" Stanley to us so we took him along.

He wanted to help lick the bowl!

It was a really nice day! Thank you Carrie for opening up your house for us! We cannot wait until next month!

Look how cute - Alyssa and Carrie's kids.
Did you ever think when you guys were in
Youth Group together that you would be homeschooling
your kids and having them spend time together - making
Puppy Chow? :o)

I am SO glad Alyssa had fun! So did Mattithia. I still have Alyssa's apron. She can get it next month! Now to start thinking about what to do next time!

What a fun idea!

I'm totally LOL at Tristan's bed head. Too cute.

Where is a post about the boat???? I've been anxiously waiting. Neither of my IRL/blog friends that I know went have posted ANYTHING about it. (tapping foot impatiently) LOL Did you have a good time?
