Did you ever just want to strangle your kid? Today Alyssa and I went to a beauty school birthday party. She was this close to getting her ears pierced. No big deal that she was chickening out. But we go back downstairs after chickening out (and MY FRIEND AND I GETTING OURS DONE FOR ALYSSA SO SHE WAS NOT SCARED!!) and she decides - she DOES want them done. So back up we go, Back out the supplies and they get ready to pierce them again. Get the color dots on them all cleaned and ready to go. She grabs her ears and starts screaming like we are ready to kill her! NO NO NO NO NO I'm not doing it. I wanted to die! They probably think I took her down and forced her to come back up to get them done. Well I didn't!

So now we have no ears done but I have a new hole. Sigh... Oh well, I love earrings.

Yeah, that sounds frustrating. But, don't worry about what others think. Yeah, I know, easier said than done. By the way, when i got my ears prieced at age 21 years, it was so my friend's two year old would get her ears done and see that it didn't hurt. It hurt! I'm such a big baby.

I got a chuckle out of your post. Kudo's to you for getting one done! My oldest was 7 when she HAD to have her ears pierced... she made it through with tears, a couple of screams, and almost threw up! LOL BUT... when it came time to change the earrings... nope would not allow it to be done... finally after 3 months! I said she HAD to change them even went and had her pick out a beautiful pair! Lets just say that she was 16 before she had pierced ears. *rolling of eyes here!* LOL
It's allllllllll good! LOL
