The countdown has begun....

5, 4, 3, 2, 1,.......I am soon to turn 40. YIKES!!!! How did that happen? No one knows for sure, but it is amazing that on Sunday, August 24 I will turn 40 years old. To be honest I am not upset or afraid of what's ahead of me. So many positive things have happened in the last couple of months that just turning 40 won't faze me one bit. In fact I am looking forward to it. The best present I could have ever gotten has already happened. I am officially a "whole" person and not considered a person suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder. This has been an exciting change; yet at the same time scary, but I am taking it all in stride. I started my online college classes yesterday and it will probably prove to be a very challenging semester. Beside home schooling 5 of my 7 kids, I am taking 2 classes for 2-8wk subterms this semester. Psychology Statistics in Learning, Social Problems, Intro to Biblical Counseling, and Biblical Counseling and women. The psychology class involves theories, which I am not too familiar with, but I think I will be able to catch on to what is expected. Already in my Sociology class we are talking about the abortion issue and the Christian faith. Steven's first soccer game is tonight, it's an away game. Gregg is able to go see him and took Christopher, but I stayed home with the other kids. Gas, tickets, and food for 8 people is just more than we can afford; so we are saving our pennies for when he has home games so we can all come. I am sure he will get a lot of playing time this year on the junior varsity team. He has improved by leaps and bounds in just a few short months. Sam is jumping up and down waiting for the computer; so I guess I will sign off. Simply pray for sanity these next few weeks as we get into a good routine. I would love to maintain my 3.8 gpa in my classes, but home schooling the kids has to come first. Blessings |
