Apr. 5, 2006 - Hi to my visitors!
I am tickled for the visitors I have had drop by! Pam in CO and Gail in IA who didnt leave blog links, thank you and come again soon! To Hippiearthmomma I paid you a return visit :) and Randi I PROMISE I'll get a pic of my quilt (after I dust the poor thing off) THIS WEEK!
I have a dilemma here with new neighbors. (YES LORD I KNOW YOU SAY LOVE MY NEIGHBORS) obviously Nazareth never had people like this move in. (YES LORD I HEAR YOU LOVE THEM NOT JUDGE THEM). They have been over DAILY in the first week they lived here (OK YOU'RE RIGHT GOD THEY DID GIVE ME A DAY OF REST SUNDAY...ONLY BECAUSE I WOULDNT BABYSIT SATURDAY YOU KNOW). I dont mean over daily to visit, but to BORROW or ASK A FAVOR. SIGHHHHHHHHHH, ok I think God is telling me to shut my backbiting and love my neighbor yes pray for me...(AND THANK YOU GOD THAT THEY RENTED AND DIDNT BUY!)
LOL and there you have it God taking me to the woodshed today...that means he loves you you know, for "whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth!"
Menu Wed.:
Ham & Beans, cornbread, yummy chocolate cake John and I already sampled.
Gratitudes:
Dry erase calanders
Kids helping clean
GREEN the grass and trees are greening up nicely :)
Hubby who lets me warm my feet on him at night
My friend Bobbie who let me cry on her shoulder last night and then covered me in prayers.
Be blessed today! xoxo melzie |

Apr. 3, 2006 - Sprinkle Time :)
Thats what my 4 yr old says the season is :) Spring time I guess he means. And yes I can tell its spring by the arrival of TORNADO SEASON. I live in SE MO and it was bad here last night :( I think 20+ people lost their lives in the storm systems last night. I hope they were prepared when they slipped into eternity.
I got a lil quilty done this week! Just have to sew up the hole (did the I think its called pillowcase method of non-binding). Used fleece for back and no batting and it went like a BREEZE! I loved it :) I have a baby shower Sun. and no gift yet! Yes I am quite the procrastinator :) I also have a ladies lunch here Friday...and I am the WORST at hating to have company over. Our home is humble...VERY HUMBLE and I get prideful and dont want people seeing it..but God made me invite them :) On the menu will be chicken and dumplins, salad, rolls and dessert. ack I am skeeeeeeeeeered already :)
Menu tonight was Hamburger/veggie soup
Gratitudes
Warm sunshine
digi cameras
DSL (had to use dialup for a few hrs today shooooooooo)

Mar. 29, 2006 - Testing picture usage
Mar. 29, 2006 - Tunnel Vision
Does anyone else find it hard to keep focused on God? I call this tunnel vision :) Dont look to the left-or the right, just keep looking at the cross. This is something I have to remind myself of DAILY not just sometimes. I get distracted by anything and everything. I have to sit on second row at church just to pay attention to the preacher. I have a very hard time cleaning one room of the house at a time due to this. Whats my point? How in the world will I ever get homeschooling organized? How will I teach my kids to have tunnel vision especially where Christ is concerned, much less day to day activities? Good thing I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me :)
Plans for today:
Wait for gas to get turned back on (long story sigh)
Clean house
Do some school with Johnny Rotten (he is loving it!)
Menu:
Chili & bread machine bread
Gratitudes:
Beautiful singing birds today
A renewed love affair with my husband
Book To Train up a Child
God's transforming power
Blogs :)

Mar. 28, 2006 - New here :)
Hi! I am brand new here! And brand new at HS'ing as well. We are prayerfully considering HS'ing our 9&12 yr old next school year, but in the meantime I am going to start now with our 4 yr old with preschooling. I am already doing some generic things with him but I want to kick it into gear soon. I welcome any and all input in that :)
I am Melody, sahm to 3 boys Cody 12-adhd, Jordan 9-spina bifida/hydrocephalus-adhd, and John 4-speech delayed. My husband is Danny. We live in SE Missouri, and attend the best church in the world . I am completely sold on HS'ing but hubby is not so sure yet. God will change his mind if that is where and what we are to be doing. I will put my old blogger blog in my links (when I figure out how lol) and you can feel free to look back the last 2 mos of entries there if you are so inclined. Also in our household right now is my 19 yr old stepson who is fixing to graduate and my mother (temporarily). We have 2 dogs (one's my moms lol) and 3 cats (one's expectant ack) and a tank full of fish. Oh cant leave out the numerous dust bunnies! I very much look forward to posting here and making and meeting new friends! xoxo melzie |
