I just found out that any homeschool curriculum that has Scripture in it is not tax deductible!
What a bummer!!
Isn't that just terribly sad??

if you want something to be grateful for, you can be grateful that you get to deduct any hs curriculum. Here in California that is completely unheard of!
Blessings!

I never knew that, that is just crazy. Not that we have ever claimed our curriculum we don't claim anything actually but, I never knew that.

Are you talking about the Educator Credit? or a state law? The federal educator credit specifically excludes homeschooling totally - scripture or not. I would be interested in knowing which law allows that deduction, is it state tax issue or federal?
