Coolest Mom?
Our dear family friend, Bart, came to Minnesota for a visit. Our kids are always super excited to see Bart because he usually brings something fun along with him. His last visit was no different -- he had something exciting and forbidden:
A potato gun!!!
Because we have some acreage, and because my husband is into that kind of thing, I allowed the kids to go outside and try it out.
It was after 10PM, so Bart told my kids that I had to be the "Coolest Mom" --
not only did I let them shoot a potato gun, I let them shoot it way after bedtime!

My older son would have been super excited to do this! I guess most boys would. :) Of course secretly, I'd of had to try it out - for safety of course! LOL!

LOL! My dh had a potato gun when we lived in Maine. There were only two boys old enough to appreciate it back then...but they loved to go with dad and shoot potatoes and sometimes they would shoot other things out of the potato gun like little army men with parachutes. :-)

And we can be cool moms....it's allowed. I'm always thrilled when I get told that....'wow, you are a cool mom!' That makes me smile. I suppose not looking like the typical homeschooling mom or even a mom in general, helps, allowing my kids to be kids and dye their hair and wear crazy things....and well, I fit right in there....sometimes I forget that I'm a mom of 5, in her 30s.....I just enjoy life and Jesus gave me a crazy personality!!! Woo Hoo!!
oh well.....man where'd all this come from? sorry.....I wrote a book!!!
