Have you ever watched a breathtaking sunrise, a refreshing waterfall, a cleansing rainfall, or a gorgeous sunset?? You should know, as you watch it beautify, that this was one of God's many gifts. He wanted us to enjoy these beauties of nature. Perhaps you can sit in a field of wildflowers, have a picnic in the mountains or take a walk through the forest on the resting Sabbath day. As you watch the thundering ocean waves, remember that God made this with a definente reason. Instead of playing video games on a nice, 70 degree day (thats spring in Oklahoma!) take time to enjoy God's majestic outdoors! Have a great day! Sarah |

I know a nice, Christian series called Brides of Lancaster and Daughters of Lancaster by Wanda E. Brunstetter. These are romance and drama books about the modern Amish. They are written in Christian perspective and very interesting. I just read THE HOPE CHEST. I encourage you to read them. |

Yesterday I could really feel the love around me. My mom and dad, my family (whom I spent the day with), and random people were just having a really good time. I will be like that on a Valentine's day, too, but only when I know I'm with the man God picked for me. I believe He is looking out for someone perfect for me, and I encourage you to give your heart to someone He wants you to be with. I hear a lot about the ups and downs of dating and broken hearts, etc... But when you commit to someone He wants you to be with, you won't have to suffer. Just think how great that would be. Stay pure for your future husband or wife, and don't let the pressure of dating get to you. |

When you say "I hate you" to anyone (yes, even your extremely annoying little brother) you are telling God you hate His creation. We are made in the image of God. And if you want to be like God do not hate; God LOVES, He doesn't hate. Even though some people think its OK to hate terrorists, THEY are even God's creation! Hard to believe, huh? Well, it's simple; we are all made in the image of God and we should love our nieghbors (aka: people in our lives). So, the next time you are tempted to say you hate someone, stop and think. You are saying you hate God's precious creation. The choice is yours. |

It's kind of hard not turning on a TV show and hearing someone exclaim: "Oh my god!" Or maybe your friends or family say it. Maybe even you say it. Well, its wrong. God wants you to be utterly disgusted when you hear that! Using His name in vain is breaking a precious commandment He made. When you hear GodD**m, some people think d**m is the only bad word. Not true. Saying God in that is actually worse than the d**m part. Know why? I think its because using HIS name in vain is breaking a sacred commandment. Its not like it's really good to curse, but using His name badly is far worse. I have an aunt who uses His name in vain all the time. My mom and I cringe when she does it. We talked to her about it, but she is very hard to get through to. I hardly ever say anything to her about it, and when I'm having alone time with God, I really wish I would. I know it may be awkward, but you need to stand up for Him, ecspecially in preserving a commandment! Do not be afraid to stand up for Your creator. I've told one of my best friends, when she kept saying "Oh my god" that she was breaking a commandment. She didn't even know (she's gotten more in touch with the Bible since then). Now she's stopped because of my influence. I encourage you to tell your friends that this is wrong. Some people may not even know! |
