In Isaiah (Don't remember where!) You read the account of Lucifer and the fallen angel's. This is the first sin. Lucifer thought he was better than God and tried to get God's power for himself. And he and his fallen angel's were cast out of Heaven. The first sin was not eating the forbidden fruit. It was one of God's most beautiful creation's turning his back on his wonderful, all providing, loving, Creator. And that is the answer to my question posed last week. I was really bummed that I didn't get more comments. Joci and Cherryblossom (hope I got that right! Sorry if I didn't, you know who you are!!! ) were the only one's who commented!!! * Pout* * Pout* *pout* Oh well, maybe the next time I post a deep and profound question more people will comment. Well...she's right. And I have something to blog about. Can anybody tell me what the first sin committed was???? I'm anxious to see your answers. This is what's going on around me and my world! I had the AWESOME expirence of helping out with our churches VBS this summer. I got to help with the youngest class and it was soooo much fun!!! I've helped before at other churches in the past, but this was my first year helping at this church and with the youngest class!!! It was soooo much fun and hopefully Lord willing I'll be able to help next year. MattMann's chicken finally laid another egg. This is #3 in the month that we've had her. So it was a big deal when he came in the other night going "MOMMY!!!!! It's a miracle!!! Molly (the chicken) laid another egg!!!!!" And as always I'm still telling the rooster that if he keeps waking me up he will be the next piece of chicken I'll eat!!! Umm... mom and I have solved the whole immodest shirt issues without me having to wear a dress!!! I'm not a big dress girl, I don't minds skirts, I actually like skirts very much!, From now on, or once we get the money, I'm going to but/wear Olympia Sports shirts. And Adult M. They're long and loose, which mom likes, I like them just because. I an still doing last years school work. I think I'll have it done just in time to start this years!! UGHHH!!! This year we're going to try something new. I'm going to do one subject and until I'm done with it and then I'll move on to another subject, and so on. And that's how we'll do it for the first quarter of the school year and if it works and we like it that's how we'll do it the rest of the year. Do any of you do your school work this way???? As we ( my family and I ) were sitting at the dinner table last night talking about our heritage and where our ancestors came from, we got to my great grandmother who is Canadian French. I started to say something about her not really being French, but then I corrected my self. She was French.
After all, Canada was settled by the French. Thus the people there are/were French, they just came from a different country. This got us to thinking about, the whole immigration thing deal that's going on right now, and not wanting the Mexican's to migrate here illegaly or other wise because they're not American. Now in all techinaclity, they are. They live in North America. Just as the people in Sout America are American, they just live in different countries, like Brazil, Chile, Venuzala (sp??) and so on. They have as much right to come into the United States, as we do. They are American. I mean, come on! How spoiled is that!!! So what if their skin is a different color. They are part of America, they should be allowed to go where they so choose as long as they obey the laws of the country they abide in. And think of this. If any one from the U.S. tried to cross the border into Mexico, they'd throw us out or put us in jail also!!! In all reality, they have probably learned this behavior from us!!! Isn't that awful, that we've become sucha spoiled people?!?!?!

This morning MattMann got two bantie chickens. A rooster (ugh!!!!) and a hen. Their names are Jacob and Molly. Apparently named after two of the kids we know. This afternoon, we went shopping to find me top to wear to our churches project fair, and later this summer, to my dad's wedding. I got a tank top a Renny's for like $4!! Then we went to Fashion Bug, where there was store wide clearance (YAHOOO!!) and got this really awesome jacke/skirt set for like $4 and two new purses for $2!!!! Needless to say it's been a very productive day! Oh, and mom's decided the chickens are a keeper because, when we got home from shopping, she had an egg for us. That's what's going on around here! No, right now I'm going UGH!!! because my mother has everything for school next year all planned out for all of us. Me, MattMann, and our neighbore's daughter. She has all our text books, she has all our school work planned out... everything. There are more people in a Wed. night prayer meeting service in Brazil than there are here in America. I think this is a pretty sad statement on the spiritual condition of our country. So much for "one nation under God". The only comforting thought I can find in this is that is the signal that then "end times" are coming, meaning we'll be going home to Heaven soon.Mean while, while there isn't much I can do, I intend to do every thing I can to make sure I'm not one of the people who's pulling this nation farther away from God. ~Liz~ |
