The breaking in of Duece

Yesterday we decided to take our new buggy{Duece}out to break it in. So my dad and my 2 brothers and I loaded it up in the trailer along with a quad, and 2 bikes.  We've seen this small riding area off the freeway and always talked about going, but we never had the chance until now.  It was only about a 10 minute drive from our house, and we had no trouble finding the way in.  As soon as we got everything unloaded, our dad jumps on his quad, says "I'll be right back",and takes off.   lol .  Kolton jumps on the buggy and chases after him.  So I get on my bike and start walking it up this big hill to get a good ride down.  Austin gets on his bike and starts riding around on the flat.

That's me,the only one wearing a helmet. lol

Notice how clean the vehicles look before we got done with them.

We all did a quick run around to survey the place, and Austin ditches his bike in exchange for the buggy, and Kolton rides with dad.  I start heading up the hill again, this time for the top.  After about 5 minutes I finaly get there.  Now you'd think the way down would be easier than trip up.  UH UH!  The trails down were steep, rocky, and full of ditches and gullies.  Not very fun on a bmx bike since there's no shocks.  Nevertheless, thanks to my "awsome bike riding skills" I made it down alive and in one piece. lol .

While I was up on the hill,Austin in the buggy saw a long, deep puddle and couldn't resist.  He heads in and about 5 feet into it,he gets stuck.

Notice the helpless position he is in for the moment.

Well about that time my dad gets this great idea.Being in the helpless state that Austin was in,he wouldn't have been able to get out of the way if dad decided to back up right beside him and gun it or something like that.KODAK MOMENT.  Unfortunatly I wasn't there to see it,and they didn't get a picture.

For the next hour or so we rode around mudflingin, gullycrawlin, and picture snappin.

Dad hoppin a log

Now you might not have very many pics of Kolton,I guess it's his turn.  Well Kolton is famous for his special ability to break literaly anything he touches, and the buggy no exception.  So heres Kolton doing some crawlin.

Lookin good

So far so good

Whoa,just a bit scary

Ok now it's scary

Hey look at me,I'm awsome

WHOAA!

I meant to do that.

Huh,that's wierd,the buggy isn't working

Tada! The amazing Kolton has done it again. He never ceases to amaze us.

For those of you who don't see the problem with it,the belt coverplate is bent creating an opening where water, and dirt can get on the belt and make it slip.  Hence the reason it stopped working for a minute, but we got it working again and will live to finish this day of riding and many more to come.

Further into the day we found an old burned down house off one of the trails and we went to investigate.

Turns out that it's on a lot for sale.  My mom's been looking for a place to build a barn and house, and my dad says that it's perfect for it.  There's turkeys all over there and it's off of one of the riding trails!   It is simply awsome!

We drove off on another trail and it took right to the main road.  There was a gas station down the road aways and we were mighty thirsty.  So we pulled right on and headed to the gas station.

Windshield was a bit dirty

After that we headed back, but not whithout havin somemore fun.

Well I think I've bragged enough about the awsome day we had, lol, and we headed home after that so....I guess I'm back to the blogging board for another story.  Oh,remember how clean the vehicles looked.  Well here's what they look like when we're done with them.

SEE YALL!
