Monday, April 3, 2006 - Jerusalem in crisis!!!

     I just received this and one of the best ways I know to get this out to everyone is putting it on my blog. So please respond to this!!!

Dear Lyria,

Thanks to those Jerusalem Prayer Team members and their friends and family who have joined our fight to stop the desecration of Jerusalem. We have over 10,000 signatures.

I have been in prayer about how we can get one million signatures in the next 30 days. I believe the Lord has shown me the answer: The Ten plus Ten Mandate! If each person who has signed the petition would simply get 10 people to sign today, and if that 10 would enlist 10 more friends, we would have one million signatures. And, we need those signatures within the next 30 days. Permit and permission decisions will be made soon! It's urgent that we move quickly! Just think 10 friends asking 10 more friends will give us 1 million.

...Jesus said “you shall be a witness unto me in Jerusalem"...let's be that witness now!

If you have not signed please sign today. If you have, please send this message to your friends and family and urge them to join our fight for Sacred Jerusalem.

In the 24 verses of his epistle, the Apostle Jude warned from Jerusalem about those who would give themselves over to sexual immorality, and going after strange flesh. Please take a moment to read it, and pay special attention to verse 14: “The Lord comes with ten thousands of his saints...” This is so powerful! Why? Because we already have 10,000 signers of the petition!

I truly believe one million signatures will turn the tide. I will personally take this petition to the Mayor of Jerusalem. I will be your ambassador! Instead of a quarter million homosexuals, bi-sexuals, lesbians and transgenders in Jerusalem, there will be the names of one million godly people going up to Jerusalem.

Would you encourage me by letting me know by return email that you will accept the challenge, will ask ten friends to sign the petition, and then will encourage them to ask ten friends to sign?

Christians must shine the light of hope and support on this important city.

Mother Teresa prayed with me for the suffering souls in Jerusalem. She said, “We must love them; they are God’s children. Love is something you do, not something you say.”

Lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders are organizing WorldPride 2006, an international parade in the city of Jerusalem. This is not heaven witnessing; it is hell. There are now homosexual churches all over America and the world, whose adherents claim to be good Christians. Please support our effort to stop the desecration of Jerusalem by signing our petition now!

According to promotional materials, this event in Jerusalem will:

  • ...make history in one of the world's most historic cities. With the eyes of the world on them, the international LGBT community will bring a message of unity and reconciliation to people troubled by conflict.
  • ...bring a message of dignity and acceptance to a city holy to three of the world's great religious faiths.
  • ...claim the rightful place of lesbians and gays in world history and culture.
  • All this we can do - and we can do it only in Jerusalem.

My heart aches that the Jewish people will think the majority of Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Transgenders are Christians...because they will profess to be. There is no doubt in my mind that this is an attempt to disgrace everything that true Christians consider to be pure and holy.

WorldPride 2006 is not simply a parade through the streets of Jerusalem; it is a battle between light and darkness.

Please take a stand today by signing the petition, then forward this message to ten of your friends and ask them to join our fight to stop the desecration of Jerusalem. Then, ask them to forward it to ten of their friends.

Please mail the signed petitions to:
Jerusalem Prayer Team
PO Box 210485,
Bedford, TX 76095.

For Jerusalem's Sake,

Mike D. Evans

Monday, March 27, 2006 - Homosexuals of the World Will Gather in Jerusalem!

     Yes, the devil is bold. This is what I received today from the Jerusalem Prayer Team:

Dear Violet,

Our Lord’s last words to us commanded that we were to be witnesses unto Him, first in Jerusalem.

I have been in Jerusalem all week, and I am outraged! Following last year’s postponement of WorldPride 2005, lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders are regrouping and reorganizing for WorldPride 2006, an international parade in the city of Jerusalem. This is not heaven witnessing; it is hell. There are now homosexual churches all over America and the world, whose adherents claim to be good Christians.

Join our fight to stop this desecration of Jerusalem. Add your signature to our letter of support to Mayor of Jerusalem, Uri Lupolianski, now!

They plan to travel to Jerusalem from San Francisco, New York City, and cities from around the world. The most disturbing thing about this is that most of the Jewish people in Jerusalem are very religious. That is why they have gone to Jerusalem from all the nations of the world.

To have more than 100,000 homosexuals flaunting such decadent behavior in this tiny, holy city where heaven and earth met, and will meet again, is outrageous! They plan to fill the hotels and restaurants, and party like Sodomites, while the world press takes pictures.

Even more outrageous is that the Jewish people will think the majority of these people are Christians…because they will profess to be. There is no doubt in my mind that this is an attempt to disgrace everything that true Christians consider to be pure and holy.

It is being proclaimed the largest international gathering for gay pride ever. I can tell you with absolute certainty that my dear friend, Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski, a very Orthodox mayor, does not want this. There is no way he can overcome the power of this group without your support.

It is vitally urgent that we mobilize one million Christians to petition Mayor Lupolianski not to allow permits to be issued for the WorldPride event in the tiny, holy city of Jerusalem. I want the Mayor to be able to go to the city council and say, “Our strongest supporters are Bible-believing Christians. There are two billion Christians in the world, and they are outraged. We must not allow their holy sites, and this holy city to be desecrated.” If we remain silent, they will be baptizing hand-holding homosexuals in the Jordan River. They will also fill the Garden Tomb again and again, taking Communion, and shouting, "Hallelujah."

Add your signature now!

Abraham beheld such decadence, and pled with God to stay His hand of destruction on Sodom and Gomorrah if he (Abraham) could find as few as ten righteous men. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed.

You can be sure that the majority of the organizers and funds for WorldPride are coming from the United States.

We need God’s blessings on this nation, not His judgment. I am urgently asking you to enlist 9 of your Christian friends to sign this petition in the next 48 hours. It is URGENT!

Please FORWARD this message to everyone on your list, and please ask them to confirm via e-mail that they have signed so you will know that you have enlisted ten more to sign the petition. Please keep this petition going around the world.

This is a battle between darkness and light. Satan’s last challenge to God Almighty was from the city of Jerusalem…then he would be like the Most High…that he would sit on the mount of the congregation on the sides of the north. There is no doubt in my mind that he is attempting to shake his fist in the face of God.

For Jerusalem's Sake,

Mike D. Evans

Thursday, March 2, 2006 - Pray for the missionaries in India

     This is atrocious! I am amazed at the evil the devil encourages people to perform. That Indian family needs our prayers.

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Romans 5:20

INDIA   Pray for INDIA

(Gospel for India/Compass Direct/agapepress)
According to Gospel for Asia (GFA), the level of persecution against Christians in India has reached new levels in early 2006, as Hindu extremists work to incite violence against believers. The fight centers on Hindutva, literally "Hinduness," a growing ideology that has a purely Hindu nation as its goal. At a recent large rally, Hindu nationalists called on the states to make their own anti-conversion laws. Please pray for the following situations:

  1. On February 17th, a band of radicals destroyed a church building and Christian school in Kota, District of Rajasthan State. (Gospel for India)
  2. A GFA native missionary and several other believers are in jail because of a radical plot to frame them for the murder of a child. The 16-month-old child of a Muslim family had suffered from a prolonged illness. When the parents quarreled with a Christian pastor over some land, members of the local Hindu nationalist party advised them to dash their child against some rocks, breaking its bones. They then filed murder charges against Pastor Kasota and 10 others. (Gospel for India)
  3. On February 8th, an Indian woman from Canada and three youths beat the pastor of an independent church in Punjab so severely that he required hospital treatment. The woman had been involved in a land dispute with the church and hired the youths to beat up the pastor who would not give up land that legally belonged to the church. (Compass Direct)
  4. More than 10,000 students are graduating from Hopegivers International Seminary this month. Most of the students are Dalits, people considered below the fourfold Hindu caste system. (Agapepress)

Pray God will put a hedge of protection around all His faithful ones in India. Pray the Dalits, who know God's great love for them, will share their faith in Jesus throughout all India. Pray the Holy Spirit will open the hearts of many Hindus to the reality of the gospel.

Thursday, January 19, 2006 - PRESIDENTIAL PRAYER REQUESTS FOR JANUARY 19, 2006

     Since I'm finished moving everything to where it needs to be I'll start back to writing about things like Presidential prayer requests:

PRESIDENTIAL PRAYER REQUESTS FOR
JANUARY 19, 2006

Pray for President Bush and Secretary of State Rice as they work with the international community, exercising diplomatic influence to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Pray for the members of the UN Security Council as they are now being drawn into the communication process with Iran.

Pray for President Bush as he welcomes to the White House Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on 1/24 to discuss earthquake reconstruction, bilateral trade and the war on terror.

Pray for the President as he prepares the State of the Union Address on 1/31. Pray that God will lead him to the initiatives that are in accord with His will.

Pray for God’s continued healing touch for former President Gerald Ford, hospitalized last weekend with pneumonia. Give thanks that he is responding well to treatment.

Pray for the members of the Senate as they returned on 1/18 and for the House, returning 1/31, asking God to guide our elected representatives as they serve. Pray for the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee as they vote on 1/24 on the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Pray for HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt and his team as they seek to solve problems with the new Medicare plans and as they prepare for and work to prevent an outbreak of bird flu.

As the White House has expressed disappointment with the Supreme Court decision upholding Oregon’s assisted suicide law, pray for the advancement of a culture of life in our country.

Pray for our troops as they work tirelessly for freedom, serving our country and the great cause of democracy on many fronts. Pray for the continued strengthening of the defense and security forces in Iraq, so that Americans can continue to withdraw.

Monday, January 9, 2006 - You have got to read this!!!! It's hilarious!!!!

     I write reviews for Mind & Media. My boss is Stacy Harp. This is something she wrote to us a few days ago. Get ready for your stomach to hurt from laughing so hard:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     I posted this on my Mind & Media blog, but thought you all would just enjoy it here...
     Every week Janet Parshall's America produces a newsletter with a fabulous factoid of faith, and when I read today's I just had a flurry of thoughts go through my mind that I thought were funny.  Here's the fact:
     The longest word in the Bible is "Mahershalalhashbaz" (Isa. 8:1).
So based on that fact I thought it would be funny to make a list taking modern book titles.   Read on...
A list by Stacy L. Harp
The Prayer of Mahershalalhashbaz
The Purpose Driven Life of Mahershalalhashbaz.
The Spiritual Secrets of Mahershalalhashbaz
Total Heart Health for Mahershalalhashbaz (based on his spiritual secrets of course)
Tortured for Mahershalalhashbaz
Sing O' Mahershalalhashbaz (a collection of Zionistic hymns)
Your Best Life Now by Mahershalalhashbaz
Twelve Ordinary Men with  Long Names Like Mahershalalhashbaz
How to Study the Torah and Pronounce Mahershalalhashbaz
What Every Sunday School Teacher Should Know About Mahershalalhashbaz
 Why Men Hate Going to Church: It's Because of Mahershalalhashbaz
In Every Pew Sits A Mahershalalhashbaz
Mad Mahershalalhashbaz (exposing the truth about who he really is)
Or In Remembrance of Me - Mahershalalhashbaz (because I have a long name)
Waking the Dead: The Story of Mahershalalhashbaz and How His Heart Became Alive
The Sacred Romance of Mahershalalhashbaz
The Journey of Mahershalalhashbaz's Desire
Protecting Your Teen from Mahershalalhashbaz
Mahershalalhashbaz's is No More Christian Nice Guy
I Don't Have Enough Faith to Say Mahershalalhashbaz
Mahershalalhashbaz  Progress
And if Mahershalalhashbaz blogged could you even begin to imagine what that would look like!
Talk to you soon!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
     I'm sorry y'all. I just had to do it to you! It was too good to just keep to myself!

Thursday, December 22, 2005 - 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS (BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED)
by Tim Bete

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even my spouse;
With only six hours left, until morning light,
Assembling kids' presents would take me all night.

19,000 pieces -- bolts, washers and screws,
To be put together, and me with no clue;
All I had for tools were some needle-nose pliers,
A Swiss Army Knife and a Phillips screwdriver.

When out on the lawn there arose such a racket,
I threw down my pliers and put on my jacket;
I swung open the door, to check out the noise,
And saw a red-suited man, bringing more toys.

I shouted, "Hey, you on my lawn, what's the idea!"
As my shrubs were being eaten by eight small reindeer;
The big man looked up at me and said with a smile,
"There's more to assemble -- it will take you a while."

"My kids don't need more toys," I countered right quick,
But he wouldn't hear "no," that stubborn Saint Nick;
"These new toys have detailed instructions," he said,
And he winked as he lifted a bag from his sled.

Then he pulled a bunch of woodchips out of his bag,
"It's a dollhouse," he said, as he looked at the tag;
"It has 6,000 small pieces, plus one or two,
You can make it if you have a gallon of glue."

"And, there are no axle holes on this toy car,
With only two wheels it won't go very far;
Perhaps you can whip up some rubber for tires,
I'm sure you can do it before you retire."

"But Nick," I pleaded, "don't you have simple toys?
Can't they build simply things -- those elves you employ?"
"How 'bout a ball, a rag doll or gun that shoots darts,
Or some other present made of only one part?"

Santa said, "Those kinds of toys are passé these days,
It's complicated gadgets that are all the craze;
So, please take these here toys and I'll be on my way,
I have houses to get to and visits to pay."

"I don't want any more toys!" I yelled quite in shock,
Then I slammed the door shut and I secured the lock;
And I took off my coat and went back to my bench,
And tried to read the directions -- printed in French.

Then just as I found I was missing a screw,
That old coot came sneaking right down through my flue;
"You forgot all these toys," said the man dressed in red,
Then he put his sack right down and here's what he said.

"You're not alone staying up all through the night,
Dads all over the world are in the same plight;
They don't have the right tools, or any instructions,
They're eyes are bleary and they're minds don't quite function."

Then he left me there speechless, alone with my work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk;
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose.

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle;
But I heard him exclaim, as he jumped in his sleigh,
"You'll need 62 batteries -- all triple A."
