I got to go to the Indiana Association of Home Educators with my sister! It was great spending time with her, an experienced homeschooler, plus her friends, who also had good advice.
Take aways:
1. Reminder that character counts (more than curriculum, although that is important)
2. Confirm that individuality, relationship, and efficiency are huge bennies of hs
3. (Most importantly), take advantage of opportunity for spiritual/Biblical discipleship of our children
4. CJ needs to work on fine motor skills
5. Artelier art program--will adjust with a Christian worldview, and teach to a group of CJ's friends to build community.
6. Lauri puzzles and pegs.
7. Confirm that homeschooling is a natural and loving way for children to prepare for life.
8. Why would I deprive myself of the joy of developing our children's character, curiosity, and education?
Enough...
