Peekaboo at the Louvre:

Lori and Christopher were here (note background).

The Jewels I can do without (Louvre):

The Jewels I'll have to do without (the Louvre):

The ceiling above the crown jewel display:

The Victory of Samothrace, but not a victory for art education of the young (Louvre):

I believe this is Venus de Milo (have to check, but I love the face):

A nod to my birthplace (Iran):

Le Grande Arche (the best elevator in town--with a technology museum at the top.

My personal favorite was La Chapelle:

Each set of windows at La Chapelle tells the story of a book of the Bible, with the last window telling the story of the various religious memorabilia originally housed there.  King Louis IX purchased the crown of thorns of Christ and other historical memorabilia and built this chapel to house them, and for his private worship.  It is a must-see.  I simply could not do justice with our simple camera:

Love all the pictures! Is that stained glass a rose window. It looks like one in our book that dd wants to make for her medieval art project!
Blessings,

What a privilege to see these sights! We so want to go to Europe (we're hoping for Switzerland/Austria). The expense is a huge factor. Asian vacations are a fraction of the cost.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed your trip tips and what you'd change. I'll tell you, Lori, traveling gets easier and easier as they get older. Really. My 9 yo is such a trooper. We can do most anything with her now. Thanks for the link to the travel clothes. I'm investigating that right now on another tab. New to me.

Oh, baby carrier -- no, never used one. When we first came to China we lived in a more developed place. No one there used them. Our current home is more "backwards." They are very common. But DD was already 3 when we came to China. So there was no need anyway.

I love the pictures and I'm glad you enjoyed Paris so much!! I can't wait to see you guys again, and see how much Christopher and Natalie have grown. :) I read your previous post about homeschooling vs. school. I'll be praying for wisdom for you guys as you make such a challenging decision. Where would they go to school? Hope you guys are well, and I can't wait to see you!!!!
