We have a glorious thunderstorm right outside our breakfast windows. Instead of following our normal Bible routine, we turned all the lights off, and snuggled on the couch to watch the storm. I printed out Bible verses about lightning and thunder, and we imagined the people of Israel at the bottom of the mountain watching the thunder and lightning. We had a wonderful conversation about Ben Franklin. Here is a fun video we watched about lightning (video is the one at the bottom of the page). Enjoy! |

The CW EFTs are recommended for grades 4-8. You can read more at their web site.

Because I am crazy about CW, if my kids were younger, I would still do this! Since the series are only repeated once, I'd do as I do now...I'd buy the DVDs and print out the lessons. I put them in binders and we can refer to them again and again whenever we want! I wish I could access their older stuff! Younger ones would enjoy some of the EFTs and others might be a bit intense.
You don't need a google account. All you need to do is join Homeschool Buyer's Co-op, which is free. They have other deals for homeschoolers too.
I do use a strong history program, called Tapestry of Grace. You can see the links at the bottom of my right column. They are TOG links to the "Map of the Humanities" and Years 1-4.
Blessings,
