About Me

I'm a christian and a wife and a mother of 2 boys whom we've always homeschooled. We live on 6 acres and Dad works from home. Homeschooling provides us our dream lifestyle. Our philosophy is relaxed, eclectic homeschooling, better known as "If it works do it, if it doesn't work stop doing it." I love to hear about what works for others and I love to share what works for us. Welcome to our adventures!

If I had a blog...
Sep. 25, 2008
Back to bloggin!

I apologize for being absent and not updating, lots of "stuff" happening around here, hopefully things will settle down soon so I can get back into the routine of keeping up with my blog.

So when we last left you we had done Paintball, Go Kart/Rocket Day and a beautiful day Mug Upping!

Since then?

Well I hosted the first in a series of film classes, it was a hit although Noah didn't participate as I had planned (he is still too young I guess).  Tomorrow's film making class is Comic Relief and Josh is participating, will let you know how that goes.

I'm officially a "cow girl" now as I spent the weekend helping vacinate and medicate some cows that we "babysit".  The official part came when I got cow poo on me.  That and when I heard the advertisement on the radio for the medicine we were using I actually understood what they were talking about, so now I consider myself an EXPERT! ha ha!

Our regular homeschool schedule seems to be humming along.  Josh is really enjoying his Math and Science curriculums and it has left me free to enjoy doing fun stuff with Noah.  Like these leaf art animals and "the leaf guy" we did to celebrate the first day of fall.

Our Literary Project is coming along as well although it seems slow right now but I know it will all come together in the end.

Well that's about all I have for you tonight - next week is crazy busy with us going into the city on Tuesday for Noah's Kindergarten program, it's picture day so I'm getting pictures of both kids done.  On Friday we are going to the other city for the Body World Exhibit that ties in with the Human Body science we are doing - both Josh and I are really excited about that.

THEN on Saturday I get to see CATS with my sister (it's about the only show I haven't seen yet so I'm looking forward to that)!

I think that is all there is for tonight - I'm sure I'll think of more as soon as I sign off but if so I'll post again soon (or in a week depending on how it goes).

Night all!

Been missing your posts but you should never feel like you have to apologize for not posting. Sounds like you've been having good times - minus the cow poop. :) Love the leaf art!
