About Me

I'm a christian and a wife and a mother of 2 boys whom we've always homeschooled. We live on 6 acres and Dad works from home. Homeschooling provides us our dream lifestyle. Our philosophy is relaxed, eclectic homeschooling, better known as "If it works do it, if it doesn't work stop doing it." I love to hear about what works for others and I love to share what works for us. Welcome to our adventures!

If I had a blog...

Busy Crocodiles!

I seriously can NOT believe I haven't blogged since September 25!!

Where has the time gone?

Here is a look at my calendar since then:

Updated points and announced winner for our knitting groups SOS - Summer of Stash!

Updated the homeschool directory and sent out the monthly newsletter to go with.

Comic Relief - part of the Film Making series we are doing - a HUGE success! Josh REALLY enjoyed this one and is looking forward to the I Wanna Rock one on the 24th.

Picked up my lillies (still haven't planted them though - need to do that as the weather is a gettin a might chillier of late).

Sent out weekly email for our Literary World project.  This project seems to be going s l o w l y.... I really need some inspiration!

Our weekly God gathering.

Helped Noah make chilli for his school boards annual Chilli cookoff.  He didn't win but he sure enjoyed pushing his chilli onto anyone that would taste it.

Kindergarten day at Phoenix - each time we go Noah enjoys it more and more - this day they had a vantriliquist, he loved that!  Wasn't happy that gym time was preempted by that act though.

Picked up my honey at the airport from his trip back home - although the event was sad it was a good trip for him!

Dr.'s and dentist appointments - will it never end?

Mug Up of course!

The Body Exhibit at the Science Center which was FABULOUS!!  I highly recommend it, very well done!

And of course CATS which I also enjoyed tremendously!  It was a special treat to be able to go out for lunch with my sister before hand.  Thanks Mom and Dad for babysitting!  Here is the crocodile project they worked on while I was enjoying the show!

He'll look real cute once I put him out in the flower garden!

Lastly, we started the Copywork and Dictation one thing class from Bravewriter yesterday, I think it's going to be good!

Am I too busy?  I wonder....

Hi Lori - not sure what kind of paint was used on the crocodiles (it is absolutely adorable, btw), if it was plain acrylic (like you can get at the craft stores) you'll want to put a varathan (spelling????) type coating all over it (several if you can), I'll check with my MIL to find out what she uses on the rocks she paints. This will help so that the paint doesn't wash away when it rains.

It sounds busy but fun. I'm neglected my blog too so I know exactly how that can be:)

I love the monster/snake/lizard creation. It's really amazing actually.

Levi is at school this year and loving it while I'm loving the natural relaxed life of tradional homeschooling the other 3. Why did I wait so long?!
Glad you're all good. Hugs

Does sound busy, but good stuff!
Hope all is well with you guys.
We finally got the boys to Body worlds this past weekend. Brent loved it, the boys thought it was okay. After they were done, we all went to the body imax movie, that was good too.
Take care and hope you are enjoying your school year
