The other day I was washing strawberries to make a cake for the children. As I washed and capped I thought how large and beautiful they were, for they truly were. Some of them, though, when I cut them in half had rotten spots on the inside. I thought, "You'd never know that by looking on the outside". It's amazing how quickly the Holy Spirit can speak. Immediately that still small voice replied, "That's the way it is with the heart". We can pretend to be all lovely and beautiful on the outside, but God can see the rotten spots on the inside. Jer. 17:9-For the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?
