We did Science the day after Day One History w/ Dr. MLK and then picked up with day Two the next day(2 days later)

We reviewed what we learned in our first day's lesson

Discuss:

• How do we fulfill our purpose?  (My answer:  We must commit our lives to God and stay 'set-apart' from what is evil and unclean so that we can do what God has called us to do and so that we can remain pure in God's sight.)
  • Lev 10:10- There must be a difference (lived out) between clean and unclean, holy and unholy.
  • Ez.  44:23-God wants His people to be taught so that they can discern the difference between what is holy and unholy
  • II Cor 6:17-We are to separate ourselves from what is unclean and unholy, evil...
  • Psalm 4:3- God has set those apart for His own possession who live holy lives.

• How did Dr. King commit his life to God's purpose?(Based on the biography: By teaching people not to be mean to each other)
• One purpose that every Christian has is to love.  We are commanded to love each other.
  • I John 4:7,11,12 - We should love because God is love and if we come from God then we are to love others as He loves us.
  • Why are we supposed to love?  (Based on I John 4-Because God is love)
• How did Dr. King show love for people?(By helping to change the laws...by helping people)
• What laws?  What did the laws say?(Children would answer based on biography...they needed a little prompting b/c they seemed to forget but they caught on Praise God :-)
• How do we show love to people? (This took a little while to come to because I did not want to just give them the answer.  I wanted them to think about it so I had to lead like this......
  • ...do we just slap people in the face?  Does that show love? (No)
  • Then what do we do to show love?  (no answer)
  • What do u do when the baby can't reach his toy? (we help him get it)
  • Exactly!!!!
  • So how did u show love for your baby brother? (By helping him)
  • So what is one way we show love for other people?  (By helping them)
