Lupton's Loving Learning

Giving water colors a play

Last friday at our house, Mrs. Jocelyn had her boys working on thier art for the FIAR book The Gullywasher. She let me and Devon join in with the watercolors. I chose to draw the horse while Devon chose a background scene.

(Dylans horse )

(Devons scene)

I didn't really care for the watercolor pencils and don't think I'll be using them again. I liked the way the colors blended but it was hard to get it to look right and stay in the lines. I thought it made it look a little sloppy and think colored pencils would have been much easier to use. I liked drawing the horse but I didn't  enjoy coloring it.
