God Loves You

This is a song that I just wrote while sitting outside.

~God Loves You~

By Kaylah Jones

Do you hear the wind rustling in the trees?

Do you feel the grass beneath your feet?

See the sky, see God's handywork,

And remember this,

That God Loves You,

He loves you more than you can possibly understand,

Oh God loves you

And he wants you to love and worship him too.

Oh God loves you.

Do you hear the crying?

Can you feel the sadness?

People are searching for a way out of their sins,

And all you have to do is say:

That God Loves You,

He loves you more than you can possibly understand,

Oh God loves you

And he wants you to love and worship him too.

Oh God loves you.

Yea He loves you

Yes he does

 Oh God Loves You,

He loves you more than you can possibly understand,

Oh God loves you

And he wants you to love and worship him too.

 yea Oh God loves you.

~Music~

~Music~

By Kaylah Jones

I've heard music all my life,

I heard it when I was in the womb.

I heard it when my parent's gave a prayerful thanks,

I heard it when I was held, and when I was nursed.

I heard it on my first Birthday,

I have heard music all my life.

I heard it when my sister was born,

I heard it when we went to church,

I have heard music all my life.

Some say music is made by instruments,

But I say music is made of :

praying, heart beats, love, family.

I have heard music all my life.

I hear it in the morn,

I hear it everyday.

Stop to listen to the music that nature makes,

That your family makes,

That God makes,

I have heard music all my life,

And I am still hearing it!

Mara Aure!

Mara Aure ! (Hello)

How are you all? I am doing good. I don't think I am going to be able to go to church camp this year :(

I was really looking forward to going. Oh well *Sigh*.

Today  we are delivering cookies to our next door neighbor. She fell off her horse and broke her arm.

My sister decorated a box and we made some ginger snaps so we are going to bring them over.

Namarie, (Farewell)

Kaylah

Joe The Rabbit

I wrote this story when I was probably 7-10. Hope You enjoy it!

 Joe the Rabbit

By Kaylah Jones

Once upon a time there were three little bunnies, Hazel Fluffy and Joe. Joe was always getting himself into trouble. One day Mrs. Hunynut (Hazel, Fluffy and Joe's mother) said" I am going to see Aunt Ruby, she is very sick." "Hazel and Fluffy, would you go to the store and get butter and cherries for supper?" "Yes Mommy" said Hazel and Fluffy.” I do not want to go Mommy," said Joe. " Ok" said Mrs. Honeynut, You do not have to go." "But do be careful and stay out of Mr. Brown's garden." “Ok said Joe. So Mrs. Honeynut went to Aunt Ruby’s and Hazel and Fluffy went to the store. As soon as they left, Joe went to Mr. Brown's garden ate some spinach, tomatoes, and lettuce and got very sick. So he went around the corner to go home and ran into Mr. Brown who was planting carrots. When Mr. Brown saw Joe he jumped up and chased him around the garden. Finally he caught him and took him to his wife to make a pie. That is the last of Joe rabbit. As for Fluffy and Hazel they were good and never went into Mr. Brown’s garden.

My Fave animals are: Horses, ponies, dogs, cats, rabbits, killer whales, and  dolphins. My Fave school subjects are: Science, History, Home Ec. Penmenship, and P.E. My favorite foods are : Steak, mashed potatoes, brussle sprouts, corn, mint choc. chip Ice Cream, bubble gum Ice Cream, Cotton Candy Ice Cream, Beef Jerky, Reece's Peices. I know a little bit of Spanish, Elvish,  Italian and I know Sign Language.

I baby-sit an 8 year old girl named Anneke. She  has lots of fun with my sister.

One of my dreams is to become an author and write books for children/teens. I plan on expirimenting on you!  *smile*

I have a friend named Kayla. She spells her name K-A-Y-L-A, I spell mine K-A-Y-L-A-H. She is 2 months older than me. But we could be twins in mind. We LOVE the same movies, music, clothes, books ect. I love her to bits!   She lives in Mass though. I only get to see her about once a year, if we're lucky. I don't have many friends up here in Maine. Very few actually. Well I have friends on here! Thanks girls. *hugs* to all of you.

I live in Palermo Maine. A small town with exactly 1200 people. It is in the country. WAY out in the Boondocks is what my Dad says. We are about 1/2hr-1hr away from  a city. My house is in the middle of a field. There is a wall of trees that surrounds three sides of our house. We are also surrounded by family. On my left is my great Grandfather on our right is my Grandparents and across the road is my great Uncle. I LOVE the country! I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. I pity you who live in the city with houses crammed on top of you. I live where you can run and breathe in the FRESH CLEAN air. Not air that is full of smog.

We volunteer sometimes at the library. It is so much fun! Sometimes I think it would be fun to work at a library and get paid for it when I get older.

Well Thanks so much for reading about me. Hope this helps you to get to know me some more!

Love,

~Kaylah~

The Secret Identity: By Kaylah Jones Chapter 1

Here is the first chapter of a book I am writing. I have to warn you that I am not good at spelling, punctuation ect. Anyway I hope you enjoy it!

     ~Chapter 1~

Sixteen year old Esther Marie Winters walked down the hall to the Parlor.  Mr. Bilsby had asked all the girls to meet him and Mrs. Bilsby in the Parlor in twenty minutes.

Esther had black curly hair, a tan complexion and chocolate brown eyes.   She had been at the New York Home for Girls ever since she was ten. Her Father had been a Sea Captain of a whaling ship called the Interpreter. She had gone everywhere with him and had learned the trade. He had died when one of the lifeboats was hit by a whale.  She still remembered the sound of cracking wood and the screams of men as they flew through the air.  Esther wasn't with her Father at the time. She was with a sailor named Jock. When they had come back home her Mother was dead and she was an orphan. Jock had brought her to the Home, and she had lived there ever since.  She longed to go back to the Sea. She loved the smell of the salt spray and the feel of the ropes beneath her hands.

She reached the parlor and walked in. The girls were sitting around the room talking in hushed whispers.

Usually when you were called to a "meeting" you were either in trouble or being adopted.

Esther walked to a settee and sat down. Mr. and Mrs. Bilsby weren't there yet so she looked around. She knew the room by heart.  A big fireplace at one end, two sunny windows looking out into the yard at the other end, a big writing desk, and plush chairs and settees around the room.

"Girls.  Can I have your attention please? I have a very important announcement to make."

The girls stopped what they were doing and turned to face Mr. Bilsby.

"As you may know Mr. Wright came today.  He is part of a system called "Mail Order Bride."  Sarah, Mary, Anna, and Esther, this is your lucky day. You have been chosen to become brides for some gentlemen in Louisiana. You will be leaving in three weeks.  You will go by train from New York to Annapolis Maryland, then by stage Coach to Baton Rouge Louisiana."

     Esther just stared.

"I know it is a long journey from New York to Louisiana but I am quite sure you can handle it. Just think. You will be able to see new places, start a new life, care for your own home and as the Lord wills have children to care for. It is a great opportunity.  Sarah, Mary, Anna and Esther see me in my office tomorrow."

The next day Mr. Bilsby talked to Esther, Sarah, Anna and Mary into his office one at a time. When it was Esther's turn she took a deep breath and walked in. Mr. Bilsby was stacking some papers on his desk so Esther sat down in a chair.

"Ah Esther, Thank you for waiting patiently. Now I am sure you are curious about the man you are to marry.  Oh of course you are. Now, his name is name is Nathan Uriah Adams. He just turned eighteen years old and is the Captain of the "Wooden Lady" a cargo and passenger ship. His parent's gave it to him as a Birthday present. They own an estate called Heathersfield."

"Sir, if they are so rich then why would they give their son a cargo and passenger ship for his eighteenth Birthday?  I mean Sir; I have heard that it is supposed to dishonor the parents' if their son becomes a sailor. And another thing, I am an orphan. They are rich. Wouldn't they want someone who comes from a good family? Someone with money and a high breeding?"

"Because they love him very much, He wants to be the Captain of a ship, has ever since he was little.  And about your "breeding" as you call it, that does not matter to them. You could be anything from a sheep herder to a queen. They just want him to be happy. And you too. "   " Mr. Bilsby, Sir, if he is to be a Captain of a ship and be away for months at a time then why do Mr. and Mrs. Adams want us to be wed?"  " Well Nathan is to inherit Heathersfield when his parents' pass on. Someone needs to carry on the next generation. And they just want to see Nathan happy and they want to give a young girl the chance to be happy too."

"Now Esther, I must talk to the other girls now. If you have questions you can ask me later."  " Thank You Mr. Bilsby."

As Esther walked down the hall to her room she sighed. No matter how handsome, ugly, old or young this Nathan Adams was she was not going to marry him. She wasn't ready for marriage yet.  She wanted to have some adventures first.  And the only way to do that was to disguise herself as a boy.  The kind of adventures she wanted was on a ship in the middle of the ocean!

She couldn't let anyone find out what she was planning to do, except her close friend Sally. Esther needed her help and knew that Sally could keep a secret. Esther had to go with the girls and she had to go to the Adams' home. They would be expecting a girl from the orphanage. Only there wouldn't be a girl there would be a boy. She would tell them that Mr. Bilsby heard that they wanted a boy and sent her. Maybe she could become a sailor on Captain Nathan Adams' ship. It would give her a chance to watch him carefully. See what he was like.

That night Esther snuck out of the orphanage, ran down several streets and stopped in front of a red two story brick building that said: "Mrs. Worthington: Seamstress"  She ran around back and rapped on the door. A heavy set middle aged woman came to the door. "Hello Aunt Jane."  "Oh Esther dear come in, come in. How good it is too see you.  My you're lookin' pretty tonight. "Thank You Aunt Jane."Esther laughed and gave the woman a hug. "Oh well I suppose you're here to see Sally. She's up in her room. Go ahead. But don't be too long. I have some fresh baked oatmeal cookies here."  " Oh Aunt Jane you know I like to see you too. And you know I can't pass a couple of cookies." She smiled as she made her way up stairs.

Although Mrs. Jane Worthington wasn't Esther's real aunt she looked after Esther like she was.  The only thing stopping her from adopting Esther was her lack of money. She already had a daughter: Sally and couldn't take on any more. She didn't make much money as a Seamstress. But she did what she could for Esther.

Esther went up the stairs, to the right and there was Sally's room. Sally was lying across her bed reading a book.

"Hey Sal."  Esther went over and sat on the bed.  "Essie! Oh how I've missed you." Sal sat up and the girls gave each other a big hug.  "Sal I need your help." "Oh so that's the reason you came to see me." Joked Sal. "No silly I did come to see how you were and to give you some news but I also need your help." "All right, what is it. How may I be of assistance my fair lady?" Esther laughed.

Esther told Sal about Mr. Bilsby's announcement, about Nathan Adams, and her idea.

"So why do you need my help?"  "I need to make three pairs of boys' clothes in three weeks." "Three weeks!"  "Yea." "And I suppose you want me to help you?" "yea."  "you have some different ideas but yes I will help you. We will have to work hard and fast. We need to talk over some things though Essie." Like What?" "Well for instance, you are quickly growing into a woman. Especially up top. Also if you plan to go on this ship as you say, how are you going to bathe and relieve yourself?"

"I don't know yet. I didn't think of that." "Obviously." "I don't know I will think of something

"Girls, it is getting late. Esther I am sure you have to get back so come down here and have some cookies." Called Aunt Jane.  ." Sal, thanks. And please don't tell Aunt Jane." "All right. It will be our secret."

Esther and Sally went downstairs and had some cookies. Finally Esther said goodbye and went back to the orphanage.

That night she had a hard time getting to sleep. So many thought were going through her head. Was she doing the right thing? What would she do if it didn't work out? What would happen if it did? Finally she drifted into a restless sleep.

Jesus The Son of God

  Jesus the Son of God

~By Kaylah Jones~

Once there was a man, who had none,

He was poor,

But had much more.

One day he went into the town,

To have a look around.

He found some men,

And they followed him.

He traveled with the sick and poor,

He was considered not much more.

He was a man, who loved the poor,

The sick and the lame.

He was betrayed, but he stayed.

He was killed, crucified to a cross,

He was not angry but he loved them.

He was beaten and whipped,

But all the time he said,

"Father Forgive them."

He loved them all he died to save,

He died to heal.

But all they did was hurt him more.

He was so sore.

He had been betrayed, beaten

And hurt.

But all he said was:

"Father Forgive them."

He died to save,

He died to heal,

And he died for us.

He was Jesus,

The Son of God.
