 The reality is....

(log off now my sensitive friends)

An Elephant named Sue would leave big piles of...

That's one of the reasons I haven't gotten a beautiful baby elephant.

Another one would be keeping my neighbors happy.

That would require serious fencing like below:Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

But having an elephant is precious.

Here's a few facts for you about elephants and why they are wonderfully made:

1. they are the largest of all land animals

2. they are a favorite of people all over the world

3. they are over ten feet tall & weigh more than 10,000lbs

4. their ears are the shape of Africa and can weigh 110 lbs each

5. this unusual sweetie grows two teeth that grow several feet long.

6. An elephant's nose reaches the ground

7. There are two basic types:

African with same shaped ears

Asian with smaller ears & a double domed head

African elephants don't

While both sexes of African elephants have tusks, the Asain girls tusks are so short you can't see them!

Elephants are known to live to eighty years!

They'd make great life time friends to my tortoises who should live 150 years.  I should be around 193 when they get there.

An elephant can run 24 mph!  (I can't)

Momma Elephants HOMESCHOOL and are good mommas!

Elephants love to take baths! (even the boys!!)

Elephants communicate & are social

They are wonderful swimmers

Elephants scarcely leave foot prints because their great weight is so evenly distributed

It is thought that early people mistook the elephant skull for a giant with only one eye!  The center hole was for the trunk not a giant Cyclops.

Elephants are better then modern machinery

Elephants require 300 lbs of food a day

And they drink 15,000+ gallons in one year

SEE!!! I"M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!

Bye my lovable wonderful sweet kind baby elephant,  I'd adopt you if I could.  I'll keep you in my heart forever.

Elephant Sue would be a very lucky pet if you were her owner. I wouldn't like cleaning up that poo. That would be some BIG poopie! LOL

Blessings,
