Oh, my! I wrote that to Val quite awhile ago. I felt badly about her experience, but wanted to let her know that it really isn't the end of the world, even though it surely feels like it! Strange, strange, I had meant to PM her my words (hopefully of encouragement), but I couldn't find her profile ANYWHERE! Well, now I know. I was meant to put the words out there in full view, and I'm tickled that you found encouragement. Thanks for telling me!
Working mom + homeschooling = 2 full time jobs. I salute your diligence and perseverance. It must be incredibly hard. I think my DD also is a working mom and homeschooling mom.
6 children under the age of 9 (one a newborn) + homeschooling one or more of them = 2 full time jobs. This year she had to make concessions. The oldest is going to a homeschool program 2 days a week at the local school district--for homeschoolers only. I salute her decision to do what is best for her son. I hope she doesn't feel guilty for not feeling like she's not homeschooling him 100%. I'm all for her decision!
As with you. Don't get the guilts for thinking you can't homeschool AND work. You'll KNOW when it is time (if ever) to adjust things (either schoolwise or workwise).

Loved watching the horses. That's pretty much what my chickens did, too. The person who koined the phrase "madder than a wet hen" must not have ever lived with any. Glad you made it through okay, too!

Glad you are o.k. It could have been worse, right? To be honest, with my dh's surgery and all, I heard about Fay but it didn't quite register. I feel bad for not praying!

I hope things dry out soon and let's hope there are no more "Fays" on the horizon.
