* copied from email. Unknown author,

HUMAN BODY FACTS

The human body is a machine that is full of wonder. This collection of human body facts will leave you wondering why in the heck we were designed the way we are.

1... Scientists say the higher your I.Q. The more you dream.

2...The largest cell in the human body is the female egg.

3...The smallest is the male sperm.

4... You use 200 muscles to take one step.

5... The average woman is 5 inches shorter than the average man.

6... Your big toes have two bones each while the rest have three.

7... A pair of human feet contain 250,000 sweat glands.

8... A full bladder is roughly the size of a soft ball.

9... The acid in your stomach is strong enough to dissolve razor blades.

10..The human brain cell can hold 5 times as much information as
the Encyclopedia Britannica.

11.. It takes the food seven seconds to get from your mouth to
your stomach.

12.. The average human dream lasts 2-3 seconds.

13.. Men without hair on their chests are more likely to get
cirrhosis of the liver than men with hair.

14.. At the moment of conception, you spent about half an hour
as a single cell.

15.. There is about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.

16.. Your body gives off enough heat in 30 minutes to bring half
a gallon of water to a boil.

17.. The enamel in your teeth is the hardest substance in your
body.

18.. Your teeth start developing (in your gums) 6 months before
you are born.

19.. When you are looking at someone you love, your pupils
dilate, they do the same when you are looking at someone you hate.

20.. Blondes have more hair than dark-haired people.

21... Your thumb is the same length as your nose.

22.. At this very moment, I know full well you are putting this
last fact to the test ..now remove your thumb from your nose and pass this
on to the friends you think might be interested in comparing their thumbs
to their noses as well.

You did it -- I KNOW you did !!!!!

Apr. 23, 2008 - Men in Tights (or Good Humored Firefighters)

There's nothing more respectable and honorable then helping your fellow man.  We had the opportunity to witness this in action last Friday night on the steps of the old courthouse in downtown Deland.  The county firefighters, not named as I'm not sure on the rules governing this, entertained the crowds with a humorous rendition of 'Men in Tights' for the Relay for Life Cancer Fund. Great job guys!  We really enjoyed the show.  Wish I had gotten a video.  (If anyone did, please send it to me?  ) Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Mar. 8, 2008 - Shoe Quiz!

I came across this quiz while visiting Betty and decided to give it a go.  Lol, very fitting!  Especially, that last sentence as I've just been promoted to Supervisor of our office which means I'm the boss!  Too bad I can't be bare foot at work!  I am SO jealous of all of you that get to be full-time stay at home, homeschooling moms! I love my job, but it takes away from being a mom.

You Are Bare Feet
You are a true free spirit, and you can't be tied down.
Even wearing shoes can be a little too constraining for you at times!

You are very comfortable in your own skin.
You are one of the most real people around. You don't have anything to hide.

Open and accepting, you are willing to discuss or entertain almost any topic.
You are a very tolerant person. You are accepting and not judgmental.

You should live: Somewhere warm

You should work: At your own business, where you can set the rules

Puerto Galera and Verde Island are a 45-minute banca ride from Batangas.

Jan. 31, 2008 - Tagged!

I've been tagged by Elissa of Christian Unschooling to list 7 random things about myself and then tag 7 other people.   So here goes:

1) I drive a 4x4 Jeep and have been wanting to either trade it in for a 4x4 truck, stick shift, king cab, nice lift kit, diesel dodge ~ Cummings engine, of course, or to get one as a second vehicle. Would love it if it came with a four or five horse trailer to boot!

2) Kissing kids is a must!  My spouse and I have great fun in hugging a grumpy child between us until they get ungrumpy.  Works too!
3) I love reading Historical Fiction!
4) I'm still dreaming of someday being able to build our dream house.  We want it big enough that there will always be  room for our children to come visit and bring their whole families.
5) I'm saving up books to go in our dream Library in that dream house.  We plan on having the shelves child proofed so babies and toddlers will find their joys a their level, middle sized children will find their interests at their level and the signed, priceless books at the top adult height.  We plan on keeping our home child and pet friendly always.
6) I'm looking forward to the day we can start traveling again.
7) I'm extremely glad that I was raised in a Christian Home and came to know the Lord when I was young.
So now to tag a few of my friends.....I choose to tag littlebrowngirl, Lyric, bakerswife, kcmyworld, 2peter318,  FruitfulFamily, and Ktas !

Hope you all decide to play along!  Let me know when you post!

Jan. 17, 2008 - What My Name Means ...

I found this quiz over at Lynn's and (of course) had too give it a go.  Now I know why I never use my real name .

What Vickisue Means
You are very hyper. You never slow down, even when it's killing you.
You're the type of person who can be a workaholic during the day... and still have the energy to party all night.
Your energy is definitely a magnet for those around you. People are addicted to your vibe.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.
You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.
A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.

You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.
You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.
People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.
You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.
You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.

You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way.
And because you're so lucky, you don't really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life.
You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.
