I do believe it,
I do believe it's true . . . **
http://tinyurl.com/8azjj

The first sentence:
"London Zoo
unveiled a new exhibition -- eight humans prowling around wearing little more
than fig leaves to cover their modesty."
This is upsetting on so many different levels I can
hardly process them all: from the overall concept (revolting) to the poorly
written article. Puh-lease!
My gut reaction: Oh dear God! Please forgive us!
Then (and I can't help this!) I dissect the sentence. Let's see, if one were to
somehow "cover one's modestly" wouldn't that mean one was willing to
run around with NO clothing on? Read it (it's short!) and tell me what you
think.
**those are the song lyrics that popped into my mind when I first saw the
article. Can you tell how old I am?!

adding a comment to this whole thing...how ridiculous!!! they look like they are pretending to be monkeys!!! Which is totally coutner to whtathe designer of the exhibit wanted...you want to see people in their natural habitat...go to any major corporation....that's our natural habitat...the human world not some ridiculous bear mountian kind of place...and what kind of music and games will they be playing? if you want ot look at humans like this it certianly cannot be mass produced..this is a completely perposterous idea...and totally laughable that anyone would actually take an idea this bad and let it go this far....maybe we are de-evolving ;)

This is ridiculous. I'm just speechless. (And it takes a lot to make me speechless!)

I'd say Heaven help us, but somehow I seem to hear the God of Romans 1 saying, "You're on your own on this one." Recommended reading for anyone who doesn't get the reference and who wants a chilling experience.
When you finish with THAT one, turn to John 10 for a delightful contrast.
Related thoughts for consideration based on those scriptures and the photo:
1. Do the people in this photograph think they are His sheep?
2. Are these people hearing God's voice but misunderstanding the message, or are they hearing "the voice of another" and joining in an enemy-side parody of God's word?
3. What is the difference between a Christian making a pun based on scripture (which many of us do religiously) and an unsaved person making a parody or joke OF scripture? Hint: God has a sense of humor, the difference comes from the source of the humor and the spirit in which it is intended. Hint #2: why does it not bother your children when you call them things like "peanuthead" but it bothers them immensely when other children say it?
4. How can we develop a positive discussion and debate with people like the ones in the photograph which will help them see their error without causing them to react in a way which pushes them farther from God?

At first I thought this was a joke, but sadly it is not. I can only say that after I got over the shock of it, I was really saddened.

I read an article about this on our local paper today. Yes, VERY disturbing on so many levels. Especially, about the young child asking his mom why there are people there; and that is just what they are wanting to happen. "People are animals honey," yeah, "so I can't do any better than what my instincts tell me to do right mommy?..." I better stop before I feel like thinking naughty words in your blog. :) I was thinking, uh, I wouldn't take my kid to the zoo with that garbage there.

i heard this on the news, also, and just cringed. like yuk times 2. this is not our home... this is not our home.... say it with me; this is not our home....

Is the zoo charging people for this? Ew. Just the poem that fellow wrote is stupid enough...let alone this CONCEPT. *rolling eyes*
I, on the other hand, am a much better poet. And I know it.
SEE?!?!?
And Maggie, I answered your question re: undressing a hog. I think you'll enjoy that article more than this London Zoo one. Well...maybe not. But I speak positively of YOU, so that in itself is better. Right?
