Oct. 25, 2006 Rainy Days and winter
Rainy Days and winter I love rainy days in winter when I am able to stay at home and dream of hibernation. I love to sleep late on rainy mornings the sound of rain bouncing off the roof sounds so soothing from my bedroom window and the air is so cool and freash I just don't want to break the spell of warmth under the covers. I am thinking that being a bear may have its advantages. But then there is the day to beging and tea to drink while children work studiously at their math and I am there to guide them to higher acidmic achivements at least if I spell it right. But the rain continues and every night the songs of winter is coming play on and the romance of winter is begun. Today the snow is low on the mountains and soon the rain may change to snow down here too. I love that too ( I know I am not supposed to now that I am grown up but to bad)Seasons come and seasons go but each has its delights and I am so thankful that God made the sounds the smells and colors to go with them!Rainy Days and Winter

I do love brow writing and I am so happy to be back again I can not tell you all that has been going on this year so far so I will just jump in. I am not sure how this will make you feel as you may not be any where near where I am in life and us all being different and all.... But I am now only schooling three the oldest two are in senior high and I am only in charge of three.... How it all happend is some what of a shock and some what of a relife I loved having them all home and was lothed to give up so to speak, but the time had come and so they went and are doing well. I would like it to be mabey not so great so that they would miss me more but that is all. The extra time with the others has been great and I do love having them with me more. Being able to do things that are fun to gether. I am hoping that this winter we will have time to do some extra fun projects for christmast and get some good crafting time in. This may sound silly but I never do crafts as a school project, well hardly ever so it is a real dream to actually organize and plan a craft for a real purpose! Rather than just letting them just glob and glitter. I am also very happy to say that I am finaly reading to my kids more than I used to and wow do I love it. I am grateful for this year to thank the Lord for good health to do our school work and for time and space to do it in. I have been blessed with a new dinning room table and it dose not wiggle!!!!!!!! or Shake!!!!!!!!! when you erase any thing or move a paper, You can be amazed at what will make you happy. I love my table it fits all the books and sewing or landry you need or it can even hold 12 people for dinner! Well hope all is well write ya soon Magpie

I am back boy did I miss this! I had my new computer blow up and a never ending list of troubles getting my system up again I am still on a loner and I am still wishing that I could get my old one back. I have had some more adventures to date the last week and a half I have brought three of my children to the ER on four different trips one went twice but he is now suffering from a knee injury. This one is trouble he has spent more time in the ER than all of the family combine!Even my sisters family and ours combine is less than him. I think that he may need to write a book or I will! I am glad though that it was not worse and that for a while he will be taking it easy. I am so thankful to have something that the doctors know what to do this has not always been our case! I am going back to the work I left on the table and I want to say thanks for waiting! |

Mar. 15, 2006 Thought for this Morning
It's early to be blogging and I and my sense of humor is not fully a wake yet. I am thankfull for the sunshine and I don't even mind the freash snow I think it is a nice break from the mud. I am still praying for Candace and I hope some of you are too she is so brave and still suffers a great deal as the infection is still raging in her hip bone and they are awaiting the test results. This is not an ordinary hardship case I am amzed at this family they are so strong even in this storm they are very inspiring I know how hard it is to stay afloat at this point they must be exhausted emotionaly and physicaly. Hospitals suck the life out of you and the stress is constant. I don't know how they are copping in the sense that you can compose your self to write a note but they are taking alot of pictures and they are always smiling and looking good I am impressed. I know how this would drain me and I am grateful for this mothers good example. Glory to the Lord that this is the wittness of this familly!
Take Care

Today as I write I am thinking of a little girl I met thru this blogging thing. Her name is Candace and she is only seven years old she has a rare fleash eating disease and is in intensive care now for a month. Her family is with her day and night and they have a web page you can go to and see the whole story. Just punch in www.candacejoy.org and you will find a precious little girl who will amaze you and give you a new perspective on your day. My heart goes out to her anew every time I go to the site. There is usually a new note for every day unless it is a bad one and they can't get to the computer. So if you can add her to your prayers please do she is needing them all.
Prayer fully Magpie |

Mar. 11, 2006 Thought for the moment
I am writing in the coulor of chocolate. What does that tell you about me?
Well I love brown's and they are very popular right now.
I am amazed continualy at the beauty of creation all around me and the other afternoon I as I was going over the old bridge I caught a glims of the splendor in the sun shine lighting the willows and the water and the whole world beside the bridge the sun was making the coulors come alive and the water was moving slow as it does at this time of year. I wished that I could just stop and take it all in but I could not do that without making every one behind me very upset so I just told the kids to drink it in as fast as they could. I think that I should go back and try to get my picture but then I always think that it is not important enough, I must try to change my broken thinking and enjoy more of Gods splendor in his creation while I may. Fast flow the years and swift moves the time. sign'
I think that this flower is my new favorite sticker. But soon I am going to write a true to my life story using the rest of the stickers we have they are too funny! So stay tuned to here the rest of my stories.

Thanks Laurie for reading my babel.

Here is my second entry on my first day I am not to exciting today I would like to say that a change is some times as good as a rest but a change and a rest is the very best! I rearanged my up stairs today the livingroom went down stairs and the dinning room went in to the old living room.( they were open to each other)This gives me a delightfull space to work in with the children while we school at the table which I have found is were we always gravitate it is just the center of our lives and it is where every one wants to be. I do love the spring sunshine streaming in my windows. I will have to clean them again they are not so clean looking with the sun showing all the dirt, but I do like the sun dirt and all it is just nessary to my day!
Having so much to be thank ful for I just want to encourage you if you are fighting the winter blues. That spring is springing up again and soon we will be able to send the children out for their play time without having to put four layers on them and take them off again when they have thrown their snow(mud)ball and are cold again.
So I say rearange some thing it will brighten your day or give you a reason to take a trip to your massage therapist! |

Mar. 10, 2006 Thought for the moment
March 8,2006 I am on line everyday reading everyones blogs and I decided to start one myself and see if I do any thing with it. I love homeschooling my children and I have five students I just sent my oldest to highschool and although I did not want to give up he was not motivated any more to do any thing at home, So the reality hit that he needed something new. So he is loving school and doing his homework with no nagging and is very motivated to get thru the studies to be ready for next year in
the senior high school for grade 11 and stay with his friends. I am happy that he is happy and that his friends are all hard working students so that he is working on keeping up. I think that this term with my younger students will be much more fun and that I will have more time to do the fun things we never got to before. I do wish that it had worked better but we tried. |
