It was soooooo windy last night, I thought the windows were gonna blow out!!  Still windy today but the rain has stopped!!  Yeeehaw!!  I love sunshine!!  I need sunshine!!  Especially as the days are getting shorter.  I'm trying to get some sewing done for Christmas....it's gonna be a home-made Christmas this year.  Hope that makes people happy, cause that's about all I can manage.  It's frustrating tho...can only work for a short time before the pain takes over and I find myself pushing to get something done and paying for it for days!  And I find that my workmanship is not what it should be because of the pain and the "rush" feelings.  Gotta go.  Where are you Eman??

I hate rainy days..very painful for me.  But I guess I should be thankful that it's not snow!!  I hate snow even more!!  I used to like it when I was little, but only to a certain extent.  Even as a youngster, I got severely cold very quickly.  A lot of hurting to warm up.  But I really USED to like sliding and skating...just not worth the price to pay for it!  I'm done.

Happy Birthday, Leanne!!  She's our family firecracker!!  LOL!!  Good news on Lyn...the bleeding has stopped and she's still sick..that means the baby is well...even if she's not!!    I think in this situation, the stress and waiting is the worst part!!  Poor girl!!  We went on a motorcycle ride Saturday, to Conway, NH...some guys decided to go up the Hurricane Mountain road and like dutiful little ducks..we followed!  Very steep, very winding and very narrow!!  on a particular  curve, we met a young guy in a pickup truck..on our side of the road!  Needless to say, we hit the ditch and dumped the bike!  I have bruised knee, elbow and shoulder and lots of aches and pains today...but my poor Mike broke two ribs!  Then drove it home that way...kept saying he "just got the wind knocked out of me...I'll be alright!"  MEN!!  Took him to the emergency about 4 oclock Sunday morning and the doctor said it was a miracle that he didn't puncture something!!  He's mending...I'm mending...and when we get better, we'll fix the bruises on our trophy winning motorcyle and ride again..but NEVER up Hurricane Mountain Road!!!  Stay safe today, people!

My daughter called...she returned to the doctors yesterday because she was bleeding quite heavily and having cramps.  She is home and resting and we are praying that all will be well.  The baby's heartbeat was ok and doc said baby was fine...and apparently the bleeding has stopped.  It's very difficult to know Lyn is going thru this soooooooo far away from me!!  Please keep praying for her and the baby.  Thanks!

And my heart is with you Tracy and my prayers with your dear husband and all our fighting men and women!!!  And I realize that it's not only the sacrifice that the fighters are making..but also those who are left here to wait for them!!  How hard it must be for young mothers to carry on the whole burden while dad is fighting...and just to wait patiently!!  I'm not a patient person, myself!  You can email me anytime, Tracy..or call or anything ...and I will listen and cheer you up!!  I love you, girl!!

Lyn went to the doctor today..and down theah...they do an ultrasound on the first visit ANYWAY!!!  She got to see the baby and affirmed that he/she was fine!! What a relief for her and the family!!  However, little Princess is having second thoughts about another baby in the family and was decidedly cool to her mom after the appt!!  She will come around tho...she has that same motherly instinct that her mom does...and won't be able to resist this new little one!!  She's such a doll herself!!  Thanks for writing Tracy...where did your dh go??  How long is he gonna be gone??  You came to Maine and didn't call on me!!!  I'm hurt!!  LOL!!!

...my bestest friend's first wedding anniversary!!  and when she got married last year..it was a beautiful sunny day...and the last sunny Saturday for over 6 weeks!!!  I hope she doesn't do that to us again!!!  My lovely daughter is looking to buy a farmhouse...I can't wait to see it..it sounds heavenly!!!!  comes complete with dogs!!  LOL!!  she has 4 boys, who really need a couple of dogs..some chickens, a horse, a pig or two...and a few turkeys...oh..let's not forget the goats!!  No cows tho...she's got one who can't drink cow's milk..so none of them do..and they are very healthy!!  I don't think cow's milk is all that it's cracked up to be or necessary for good health!  lots of other ways to get your calcium.  I miss them..can you tell??  Hope to go see them when they get moved!!

My dad would have called it "poor man's fertilizer"...but I call it down right nasty!!  It was all melted by the time I took my walk and it was a decent 50 degrees out there with the sun shining!!  I love it!!  And the lilac bushes are getting little leaf buds!!!  I can just smell them lilacs now!!  Maybe I have spring fever??!!!  Has anyone ever died from spring fever, I wonder??

We actually got the motorcycle out today and went for a long ride!!!  Two rides really...went to visit my Mom this morning on it then took a ride this afternoon...inbetween errands!  What a beautiful day...no snow and 71 degrees...hope it keeps up!!  And of course I wore my leathers so I was toasty warm!!!  This is the earliest we've been able to bike in comfort!  I love it!!!

Finally, my bones are thawing out a little!!  It was 61degrees when I took my walk yesterday!!  What a relief!  I finished reading Pride and Prejudice..loved it..sooooo much more than the movies...and a much nicer ending!!  I went back to my little second-hand book store and found Jane Austin's Emma!!  Looking forward to that as well as my Dicken's novels!  Just finished a Marion Zimmer Bradley "Darkover" book called "The Fall of Neskaya"...very good...I like a good Scifi book once in a while...looking for more of hers.
