Update on Mountain Man

It has been a grueling week for this mom.
 MM has had a pulmonary function test and chest  x-ray.
 Both showed clearly that his asthma is high even though his lungs
are clear and his oxygen saturation rate is 100%. 
The CT scan of his chest, abdomen and diaphragm are normal.
That eliminates some things but still leaves him hanging in pain.
Two doctors say he has something going on with his diaphragm and
the third said "just take your inhaler and go back to the mountains".
Duh, if it was that simple he never would have come home!!
So we are having the test results sent to his primary care doctor
and we will re-group with him and see what happens next.
We know that something is wrong.  There are 9 of us living here
and all of us have agreed to not leave him home alone whenever possible.
  He doesn't drive anywhere because when one of these spasms comes over him
he clutches his chest and cannot breathe for several seconds
and it happens several times a day. 
The questionnaire that he filled out for the specialist had 34 symptoms
listed on it.  He checked 23 of them and wrote in 6 more. 
School starts August 18th and we are moving forward with enrollment
although we don't know if he'll be well enough to attend.  It's giving him something
to look forward to. 
We continue to run into problems with the remodel.
 We hope to be in our house by the first of August.
And to complete my week I have a toothache which I suspect is an abscess...sigh

I'm sorry you don't have all the answers yet for MM. I know how it feels to just want to KNOW! Hang in there on the house. We're officially moving in on Monday to our project....but we're not quite ready to be there yet. We still have a kitchen and bathroom to finish. I can't wait until they're done though!
