SHAKESPEARE

Recently I agreed to watch Romeo & Juliet
with my daughter.
It has been years and I had forgotten some of
the story. They are declaring love for one another when just an hour previous they didn't even know one anothers names. Then a few days later they are getting married.
I kept saying "just a few hours ago they didn't even know each others names". MaKayla kept telling me that I was ruining the story...
Fast forward to today.
Hamlet...now this one has proven to be very painful!
5 hours later with 3 breaks, 1 nap, 3 extra strength Excedrin and supper we are only to the intermission!!
I have to keep the words on the screen just to understand what they are saying.
I'm wondering how many hours it is going to take to avenge his father's murder?!
For you Shakespeare fans, I do NOT know how you do it.
I hope she doesn't want to experience any more of his writings. They are just to painful for me to suffer through!

I had a com class in college that required us to study shakespeare.. I was so glad when he just had us watch portions of it. If I remember correctly he had us answer reflective questions about the scene for homework and tests. Maybe they should make a veggie tales shakespeare, then it might make more sense;) Good to see you posting. Hope all is well :)
