Yesterday, Sunday, we went we had to get a new smoke alarm and we spent some time in Lowe's. We priced re-doing our living room over. We live in a Space Race house, meaning it was built in the mid-60's with no insulation and very little attention to detail or quality. The previous owners never kept up with it so slowly we are going room by room and re-doing it with insulation, putting in the details and doing it with quality.

So B gets home from work and literally starts attacking the living room. He has moved all of the furniture out of the room, including our upright piano. Now he is putting Visqueen on the floor and getting ready to knock of the popcorn ceilings. (Yes ,he is careful with the asbestos) He wants to finish by the end of next week and have put new carpeting in!!! Our carpet is over 10 years old so I'm so excited. :-)

He will also put in can lighting on dimmers, put the insulation in, rewire the room, texture the walls, and then paint!

I must have the best DH in the world that would spend his vacation fixing up our home for me!
