A bit of everything

Well, tomorrow my Beloved leaves for a week!  Actually, we will go to town, have a date (woohoo!!), spend the night at a hotel, and then Saturday morning, off he flies to Indiana.  I don't even know how long it's been since we've been apart for that long.  Years.  I don't like it.  The girls are beside themselves that their Daddy will be gone for a week!  Of course, I'm already thinking what a joyous reunion we'll have next Friday when he comes home.

Shonda Parker is coming to Coeur d' Alene, and I'm just thrilled to get to attend one of her seminars again.  She was here about 3 years ago, and that was such a great time of learning.  I'm only attending one day, because the next day will be my Beloved's first day home, and we're having a Valentine Dinner (just for adults!) 

This will be our 3d annual Valentine's Dinner, and it's always a lovely time.  It's fun to have an evening when we can dress up and just be adults ~ without interruption, without disciplining children.  We love our children, and do most everything with them, but it is a treat to have an evening of adult conversation.  Of course this year, there will be two little ones.  God has been good to us!

We have been working on career stuff with the three older boys.  We bought a home business seminar set from Harold and Cindy Rushton, of Rushton Family Ministries.  Part of that is an interview with Stephen Beck of Family Ebiz.  What a great bunch of stuff!  Lots of ideas.  We're working on thinking entrepreneurially with the boys.  We feel that even if they end up working for someone else, being able to think like that will make them that more valuable as employees.

The girls have been sick all week.  It's such a bummer.  I think they're finally over it, with the exception of some sniffles.  I had hoped that when we had the flu a week or so ago that that would be the end of the *sickies*.  HA!
