The Legend of Thousand Hills Farm

Here he is!

Well, he is still nameless ~ not something to sweat about yet, since he's not due until the 16th of May, , but I thought you might enjoy a peek at our little man.

Not the very best of pictures, but he had his little face snuggled up into the placenta, and he wasn't going to co-operate!  So, the midwife had to press a little harder to get all of his face, which led to a bit of a skeletal appearance.  He was also enjoying his thumb while we were taking a peek at him.  It'll be interesting to see if he's a thumb sucker after he's born.  Both girls are, but none of the boys have been...as of yet.  It doesn't show real well, but he definitely has the little "Dole" nose ~ we are looking forward to May even moreso, now that we've "met" our son!

What a cutie!!! Completely amazing! I can't believe the new-fangled ultrasounds!! I'm not a big fan of them, but after seeing the 3-D one...well, if the Lord intervenes and we have another...I may have to have just one of those *smile*!

Thanks for sharing! We're still thinking on names...I'm sure you've been waiting on us *smile*...LOL!

He's adorable! I just went to tell Randy. We both said "A boy what a surprise". Not to put any pressure on you, but my sister Kerry and I have been in agreement that you and Mike have the most original and manly sounding boy names. You have a bit of a reputation to uphold here in Alabama.
I love the family resemblence among babies is a family. They have their own personality but you can tell by looking at them where they belong.
We too keep rewriting menus. My favorite was a one month plan that we shopped for all at once except for produce at two weeks. I had found a recipe for mushrooms and minute steaks that was good (I thought). Randy's response was "Hey what's a minute steak. One step up from SPAM".

OK suggestions for names are pooring in. Randy : Ruble Noon Scott

Megan and Randy : Jonah or Jonas

I can't think of any. I'll stick to menus

Randy again: Tyrel. That would look great on a Rodeo billing.

Ok no one wants Jonah or Jonas. The names were coming out of Louis L'Amore books. As Randy was walking into the office he was asking Megan what Ruble Noon's real name was (In the L'amore book A Man Called Noon). He gave me that name to pass on to you and Megan was answering "Jonah no Jonas" from the living room. I mistook her answere for a suggested name. Since this is posted on-line I thought I would clear up my error. Another western name Bendigo - Louis L'Amore has great names.

Back to menus. I will likely not do minute steaks any more since the SPAM comment goes down as Randy's one and only complaint about food, but it was pretty funny. The issue with monthly buying is that you must have the food budget for 4 weeks up front which is not always available.
