I have come to realise that I just need two things to keep me sane when I an lacking in sleep, besides food, of course. 
1. A shower
In this hot and humid weather (talk about feeling the effects of Global Warming!), showering a minimum of 3x per day is critical for me to function. The two times I really, really wish I live in a cool and temperate climate is when I hit my 3rd trimester and in the 1st 3mths post partum. I really dislike the sticky layer of sweat that makes everything cling to me. And woe to the child who decides that he/she wants to hug me then!
And of course, I constantly feel that I smell! 
And so, if I can't get to have a quick shower, I turn on the air con and fan at full blast. But nothing beats a shower!!!
and the other thing I need is....
2. A nap
With this baby that never seems to need sleep, I barely get 3 - 4hrs of sleep per day and nite in total. No, I am not exaggerating. And therefore I really need to nap. Even if it is just 10min of shut eye. Without it, I can slowly feel a headache creeping up on me. And when it finally hits me, I just can't function in a normal mode anymore. And of course having to constantly keep my eyes open requires a super human effort!
But I should have known that this baby requires very little sleep. She always constantly moving when in the womb. And I do mean constantly, Now I have had, by the grace of God, 6 pregnancies by now and this little one was one dynamo in there!
BUT as long as I get my short 30min nap and a shower, I can deal with this a little more cheerfully!
