$6,000 to slim down?

Posted in General

I read off the AsiaParents list that someone actually paid $6,000 to a slimming centre to lose weight! Wow!

I doubt I'd ever do that. Maybe if someone would pay ME $6,000, I would lose weight! Lol!

I guess I have never been that desperate. But isn't $6,000 a lot??? And I was just thinking - wouldn't paying that amount for a personal trainer or a gym membership be better??? At least there's the physical benefit of working out and getting the endorphins going. And tighening those loose muscles.

I suppose the pressure to be slim and sexy after one becomes a mom is very great. Otherwise why would these companies always be targeting their ads at moms? Slimmng ads, saggy breast ads, etc...

The sad thing is that without maintenance, the weight tends to come back. It is the same as those women who swear by the massage and binding post partum. Sure the tummy may be flatter and tighter immediately after the sessions but if there is no maintenance, then the tummy bulge will slowly return. So is it worth it?

Just musing.

But I would love to have a personal trainer!

I was a mom twice with 3 lovely angels. My sole effective method is Cambridge Diet. Tried slimming centre but lose nothing. After my 1st pregnancy, I tried all ways (including the disgusting Xenical) but my weight was stucked at 57. After 1st week on CD, was down 3kg. 2nd week not so discipline so was down 2kg. I become a size S and my siblings (all gals) were very impressed. Did the same for my second pregnancy and was down to 50kg. Try it and all the best! p/s- i take only the soup. unable to down the drink. but apparently most prefers the drinks??!!

And it didn't work. Instead I felt faint the whole time! Obviously not enough calories for me - doing all the housework and all. Haha!

But thanks for the recommendation. Maybe it can help someone else.

sounds awful to be on that kind of liquid diet. And not cheap either.

I'd sooner find plop baby in a sling and go for a 30-45min walk around the neighbourhood.
