Waking up early

Posted in General

When I thought of moving the toddler into the Girls' Room, I was dreading the thought that the girls would wake her up too early as they usually wake up at 7:30am while she would wake up only at 8:30am.

But interestingly, she is the one now waking everyone up at 7am! And in order that I am not rushing to catch up with her, I have to wake up even earlier!

Well, the good thing is that we are now all waking up early and getting more done before lunch! Now, if only I have the discipline to go to bed earlier instead of past midnight!

yeah, things do get done faster, but the day would invariably not be over any earlier, don't you find? so we are extending our waking hours,

eg. whether I wake at 6am or at 9am, I still only manage to get to bed at 11pm or 12mn. So I end up VERY tired. THere are days like today that I force myself up at 5.30am so that I can send the boys to school at 7am and be in the office early, get some work done and get home by 8+am. I do get much more work done in the office without the baby, but I end up with such a looooooong day. *sigh*.

Sigh – I have to agree with you. That’s why I am soooo tired! I fall asleep on the couch every morning once the toddler goes down for her morning nap and I finish up teaching!

And regardless of the time I wake up I still can't go to bed any earlier than past midnight. Why oh why???

bc other than the 2 or 3 hrs headstart you get, the rest of the household still runs on the normal time schedule, lah!

Which is why it is so hard to wake up early (unless necessary). and is why I dread next year, when I have to wake up early :(
