Aug. 30, 2009 - FREE Spelling Program!
SpellingCity.Com
I am LOVING our new FREE spelling program this year! It's called SpellingCity. If you are a homeschooler and happen to read this post go check it out. It's called Spelling City and it allows you to use their lists or you enter your own words. Everything is FREE. They do have an option that you can pay 29.95 per year for record keeping. We are going to use that option because it will automatically record all their activity as they work. Less details makes me HAPPY! |

Dec. 15, 2006 - Family Night
Saturday Night
----------------------
My friend Lani and two of her brothers have a band. Last Saturday night they played on the roof of the pier at Cha-Cha Coconuts. It was a night filled with FUN and Reunions! I got to catch up with old friends who I had not seen in years and Lani's voice was at it's best! It was a beautiful, fun-filled night!
My incredibly wonderful and funny husband!

Mary and Beautiful Roxanne! Roxanne and I go WAY back!

Roxanne's husband Chris! We just love him too!

Sep. 4, 2005 - Apologia Astronomy AND TruthQuest!!!
I'm so
excited! I am waiting on my TruthQuest Ancients to get
here! My plan while I'm waiting is to go ahead and get all the
boys notebooks set up and start with the 7 days of creation.
Though my oldest has done this several times this will be my 5 year
olds first "Official" time!!! Then I will teach to my oldest and
pull the younger ones in for FUN! I do not plan to do any of the
GODS or MYTHOLOGY from Greece with them but my oldest will study how
this was in conflict with scripture. Next I am planning on
starting Astronomy! I am thinking of ordering the kit and getting
everything going but not starting until after Christmas. I know
your saying but wait....,
I was thinking this would give me time to acclimate to a new history
program and get that firmly underway and THEN adding in my new science
curriculum and getting that firmly in place! I was also
blessed enough that a friend loaned me her Apologia Astronomy book so I
just will have to buy the experiment kit. (thank you Lord as this
is really helpful to us)

Aug. 21, 2005 - To Many GREAT choices!!!
|
I am trying to figure out which classes to
put my 8th grader in for our homeschool co-op. I know I want him to do
the writing class but she recommended using the Drama class as this
teaches them how to express themselves. However, I was thinking of
doing Earth Science and the writing class. Of course, I teach him
Science thru his paces but I can't teach him drama all by himself
sooo....,??? We decided NOT to do co-op for the younger boys because
first of all it would have been 400.00 ACK! (for 11 weeks) Secondly,
because the good classes start to LOSE their appeal in a sea of
busyness. Decisions! Decisions! Sigh!
