Yes, as a matter of fact, they are.
I copied a friend and made up names in order to be Sneaky and Private.
Actually, I just did it because I love my kids' names and when I saw my friend being oh-so-clever, I occurred to me that it was a nifty way to use versions of the kids' names that we don't normally use.
My friend used different names entirely, while I have used either a different nickname, or a middle name. Or, in the baby's case, the Alternate baby name, that had been one of the top two most-favorite baby names for weeks, until just days before birth, at which time Papa changed his mind and we ended up going with a previously ELIMINATED baby name. Go figure.
Which would account for our calling the aforementioned baby by the wrong name for about 25% of the first few weeks. Another 25% of the time she spent getting called "Baby," and the remaining 50% of the time we called her by any one of her four older sisters' names. After ten weeks, I am pleased to report that we're finally getting it right. Whew.
I sure hope the next one's a boy.
