Weekend Update

Oh dear, that makes me sound like the news!

Saturday didn't go as well. As day five of the diet rolled around, I found myself, about midday, getting very ill. I had sharp pains in my stomach and started feeling nauseous...so I ate a granola bar (six, actually), to try and help the pain. It helped. The same thing happened on Sunday and today, so again I ate the forbidden granola bars.

I have come to the conclusion that while nursing a baby, and the demands that that takes on my body, I cannot follow the diet 100%. I will do my best, but some grains are in order.

So, my weekend looked like this:

Saturday:
Breakfast: Omelet with Fresh Strawberries, coffee with cream
Snack: Handful of raw almonds
Lunch: Leftover Chili
Medicinal Beverage: coffee with cream
Snack: six forbidden granola bars
Supper: Cilantro Lime Chicken Cacciatore
Medicinal Beverage: Kefir

Sunday:
Breakfast: Sunny Almond Shake
Snack: A few handfuls of raw almonds
Lunch: Tossed salad
Snack: four forbidden granola bars
Supper: Easy Lasagna Soup
Medicinal Beverage: Coffee with cream
Snack: two forbidden granola bars

First I have to say that I just found your two blogs and I love them, you are a wonderful inspiration and you have a beautiful family!!! (I will keep your eldest son in prayer, hang in there your doing such a wonderful job with him, from what I have read :o))

Don’t be to hard on yourself while your nursing, like you said your body is doing over time right now and baby needs those nutrients!!! I recently posted on this very subject on my blog as I too am nursing and trying to loose a good 40 lbs!

If its ok I would love to put you on my site as I know my friends would love to read your blogs!

Thanks for the inspirations!

I am also convicted in this area. Sounds like God is trying to heal all of us, but the discipline that it takes is hard, ouch!!
