Have the Kids Help On This One Tooooo......

Tonight I'm making up some yummie

"Pizza Cups" as I call them.

I use to make them a lot when the kids were little, but kinda forgot about them, till I was trying to think of something to take to a birthday potluck party tomorrow.

**Usually I'd make and serve them warm, but we have to leave at 9am, to drive about 90 minutes to visit a church (I really want to move to that rural area), then right afterwards drive 20 minutes north to my brother/SIL's church for a surprise birthday party for my brother's 40th!! So....I figure I can keep them in a cooler in the car, and just warm them up at the party.

(I would have added a photo here,

but the camera's charging for the party tomorrow.)

OK,OK...here's my nifty little delicacy:

PIZZA CUPS

  1. Place a fresh or canned buttermilk biscuit in a muffin tin. (the 'jumbo' size canned biscuits kinda overflow the reg size muffin tins)
  2. Press it into the muffin cup, creating a cup for the filling.
  3. Fry up hamburger (I also add onions and garlic).
  4. Then add a small can of tomatoe sauce/ pizza seasoning (I get some great stuff from Penzeys.) and sliced black olives. Heat through.
  5. Spoon a tablespoon of hamb/pizza mixture into each cup.
  6. Sprinkle a pinch of grated cheese on each.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.

MMMMMMMM..great for lunch or dinner.

I wish you lived around the corner!!! What a great treasure of ideas and encouragement you are girl!! It's funny, but I want to move us to a rural area too ~ too bad it's not the same one as yours! :) Thanks for your kind words on my blog. I pray that you and I both get some blessed, refreshing, quiet, dare I say "undisturbed" time of sitting at His feet this week.
Much love,
Michele

Dec. 7, 2006 - Yum!

I'll have to make these for the kids. Never mind that -- they would probably enjoy making them themselves. You really have added a lot to your blog lately! I've been so busy the past few days that I haven't had a chance to check. Love the recipes!

Were we supposed to meet at church tonight?? Like I've even read the next chapter...LOL. How ironic is it that we're reading "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World," yet having a hard time slowing down enough to read it! I think it will be easier to take it up again after Christmas, which is less than three weeks away...ack!

Love ya, dear!
Sally
