Many Blessings

I'm back for today

Well, it's been over a month since I've blogged. And, it's for no other reason other than, I just haven't. Although, December for me has been a month for many celebrations. We've had a surprise party for my mom and dad's 6oth birthday parties here at my house followed by, of course Christmas a few weeks later and then a week later on new year's eve was my beautifu daughter, Kayla's, 12th birthday. She had a wonderful slumber party. I have to be honest... I thought that I would dread it...,10 girls up all night and me getting NO SLEEP!!. However, it was just the opposite. I loved it as much as they did. It was the best group of girls that I've ever seen together. They (and myself) watched movies, ate, had a pajama fashion show, ate some more, had an icecream social, ate some more, watched another movie and ate SOME MORE. Finally, at 1:30AM, I went to bed and they were all still kickin'. At 6:30 AM, I went to check on them, 3 of them were still awake.....(Go Grace, Lauren Z. and Claire)!!! However, soon after that, they passed out COLD!!!!! Then , I woke them up to a nice big breakfast!! I love this age!! I thought I would dread it, but the older my daughter gets, the better we get along and the more we laugh together.Did I just say that I love this age, cause I do sooooo much!!!!!! I hope that my other three children are this much fun in their pre-teen years!! I can only pray!  Well, that's the update. Hope all is well with you guys!! Talk to you soon hopefully!!!

You blogged something!
Let me just say that they seem to get more and more fun the older that they get - although in some ways it is harder. They trust you a little less as the strive to learn to stand on their own.
Read my post about MY teenage daughter - http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/jewls2texas/266666/Risky+Business%3A+Loving+a+Teenager.html
it's pretty fun! I do love them.
Happy Belated Birthday Kayla!

Jan. 23, 2007 - They are so much fun!

I remember when my kids were small all the "experienced parents" you know the ones with teens, all told me that they were horrible and the terrible twos were nothing compared to the teen years, well I disagree! I love my teens and I have so much fun hanging out with them. I would pick a group of teens over a group of two year olds hands down.
