First day back at school and it was great!  We are making some curriculum changes, plus Matthew is starting Kindergarten!!  LOL  He's been bugging me to "do school!"   Even this morning he asked me if more of HIS stuff had arrived (things I ordered online).  :)  He's too funny.

With Samantha we're still using:

Rod & Staff for English, spelling, reading, and phonics

Saxon 2 for Math

Reading for Handwriting

Veritas Press recommendations for literature

We were using Rod & Staff for Social Studies but this is what we're changing.  I had been wanting to do the states with them but just could not decide on what to buy!  I finally decided to buy Legends & Leagues or Mr. Tardy Goes From Here to There from Veritas along with States and Capitals Songs.  It should be here today! 

I'm also buying CD's and workbooks called God Makes Music to use for our classical music curriculum.  Right now for art we're just reading books on different artists and getting familiar with their paintings.

With Matthew I'm going to use:

Saxon 1 for Math

Phonics Museum from Veritas for phonics, reading

Reason for Handwriting K

I also bought a new Bible program that should be here today or tomorrow. It's called Bible Study Guide for All Ages and it is so great!  I've been looking at a friends and finally took the plunge.  Didn't like what we were doing before.  :)

With Alexander I continue to do Bits of Intelligence cards from www.iahp.org and starting next month I'll be doing their Math Cards with him as talked about in How to Teach Your Baby Math.  :)

Kayla is still plugging along with James Madison High School - a correspondence school.  It's going well.  :)  I upped her hours of school from 4 to 5.  She was thrilled....LOL  Not really....  :)

Well, It's Tuesday morning at 7:30 and it's time for breakfast.  Gotta go feed these children!  :)
