Feb. 19, 2007 - madeline has crossed all her fingers. why do you ask?

Posted by Favorite Sister Alexandra
so the grim reaper came to us today. he knocked on our door and all. but he only wanted my math book. clever how i cheat death like that! but when mama asks why i'm not doing my math, i don't think she'll believe me when i tell her.
on another note, i was walking around downstairs and i noticed emma scribbling on a piece of paper. i came over and asked her what she was doing and she said that she was doing a tooth maze. when i gave her a suspicious look she said that the devil made her do it. O_o ohhhkayyyyy.....sometimes emma you worry me more than i worry myself.
so there's your weird news for the day.

you just don't understand the female's ability to talk, do you? It really isn't all that amazing that we are able to chat like this. :P
And we are greatly hoping that you will be able to come to the rally, though a certain person may have exaggerated a bit on that point. *glares at Alexandra* I was merely trying to see if I could cross all my fingers at the same time, lol. :P

Hannah, on the contrary, I think you are a very fuzzy person. Especially in the morning - your hair attests to that fact. *dodges objects flung at me*

Alexandra..........um, yeah.

Here's another "weird news of the day" story though:
Emma: *returns to game that she and the little kids are playing* "Ok.....so, where were we?"
Sophia: "Well, it's been 30 months, and Paul's dying."
Hmm......so cheery. :P

Hope that all works out! The church which it's at isn't TOO far from mine and so we do things together a few times a year. It's a nice building and the speaker is GREAT.

new fun song:

the itsy bitsy hobbits climbed up the rocky mount
down came the Ranger and knocked the hobbits out
up came the ringwraith and he began to pout
'cause the itsy bitsy hobbits continued up the mount.

that was dear madeline's creation. so don't go about saying that i'm the only weird one around here!

Oh my goodness..... I feel so sad and mad right now.... I just told my parents about YR and this was there reaction. "YR? Oh that nice the kids have a ride. Too bad you won't be going though." ok so at that point I just lost all touch with reality. They say I'm officially too old to go no matter what the curcumstances are :( WHAAAAA it's not fair to be old <_< So it looks like I'll never see you all in person again (except Hannah if you come to camp I think they'll let me go as a counciler. Sorry for the bad news, but I guess they have a point since none of the older kids from here are going.

Not cool. Way not cool. :'(

So.......I guess I'll never be able to give you that talk I owe you. Heh......if I'd known that the last rally would be the last time I would see you I would have made sure that you signed my book! >_< And now you'll never be able to sign it! *cries*

You need to either A) find a way to come to camp or B) find a way to persuade your parents to let me call you (I get free minutes at night so long distance calls are no problem) I have a feeling neither one is a good option *shrug*

Women average about 7,000 words per day, whereas men manage to crank out only about 2,000.

So Luke, that's why we are able to chat like this, lol. :P

I am so busy it's not even funny. (and normally I can find something funny about it. :P ) This week is just......full. I've got a speech tourney next week (that one I told you guys about a while ago - the one near Dayton) which I'm still trying to write and memorize my speech for. And this weekend we're going down to Grandma's, which won't really help with my trying to memorize a speech, lol. ;)

And one more thing........I don't think I should be required to read 50 million pages that all say basically the same thing, and could be summed up in a couple sentences. *sighs* Some people just don't know how to write. >_<

i sent yours and abbie's letter tuesday and i have two corrections to make:
1. in my letter i said felicia was still in the hospital and probably would be for a long time. well as you know she was discharged yesterday! :P
2. i also told abbie i didn't have a favorite cd. well abbie, i do. it's trans-siberian orchistra's 'the lost christmas eve'. and it's pretty cool.
so that's it. back to your lives citizens. show's over.

CPU's are the scourge of the earth <_< crashing when you least expect it. Bah at least if you know what to do your ok with fixing it :P

On a more fun note (for me that is lol) I'm clipping along at a fast rate learning PHP (php hypertext preprocessing(yes the word is in the acronym))

Like this nice little script ;)

<?php

//list variables

$mom= 'sherri';
$dad= 'rick':
$dog= 'shadow'

//print results in a web browser page

echo "Hi my name is luke! My mom is $mom, my dad is $dad, and my dog is $dog";

?>

ok looks wierd but if you saw this in a web page it just becomes

Hi my name is luke! My mom is sherri, my dad is rick, and my dog is shadow

sad that computers need so many instructions to print simple variables and text >_<

do you know how terribly disconerting it is to be sweeping the floor dilegently while singing a happy livley song you just made up on the spur of the moment based on a sentance your sister just said to you, to stop for a full thirty seconds while asking for insperation for another song from that same sister, to finally get another sentance from her, to sing at least a whole verse, maybe even a chorus, and then to be rudely interrupted by clapping and shouts of "encore" from the other room (where you didn't even know you had an audience) RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR SONG!?! it's terribly disconcerting. you have no choice but to stop. and then five minutes later your mother comes in and says "sorry that you stopped! you sounded like you were having so much fun!"
seriously. some people are so rude!

Mar. 29, 2007 - ahh...the downsides to not trusting your older sister

Posted by Favorite Sister Alexandra
ahem. i once knew a girl, a nice, well-meaning girl, of the age of fourteen, who one day was preparing to wash the dishes. as she emptied the dishwasher, she spied a tablespoon. a wonderful thought crept into her head and she snatched the tablespoon right out from where it lay. she hastily rushed to the refridgerator and flung the door open. to her delight she found the two items she was looking for: a jar of cherries and a bottle of chocolate sauce. she joyfully filled the tablespoon to the brim with chocolate sauce, then with a sweeping flourish, added a garnish of a juicey cherry on top. pleased with her new creation, she hurried into the dining room where her dear father and her dear sister were sitting. dear father was finishing his late supper, and dear sister was cheerfully watching him. my friend the forteen-year-old walked in, proudly showing off her new creation. "ha!" she cried. "dear sister! i have created a most delicious medicine for you! seeing as you are quite ill! i took it upon myself to-" "it looks like ketchup" the teenager was taken aback. "why, it's not ketchup! it's simply the best tasting elixer the world has ever created! one sip of this potion will have you leaping and bounding and frolicing in the wild green grass on the hills of ireland!" "ew." my friend was put out. she felt discouraged. she turned to her father for help. "dear father you know that-" "yeah, yeah. it's chocolate and a cherry. if she's not going to eat it i will!" our teenager was proud. "there. you see? nothing to fear! now take this wonderful medicine without one more word!" saying so, she thrust the tablespoon of precious liquid into her dear younger sister's hands. "yuck! you're going to spill it on me!" "not another word! eat it. take it. feel it's power!" "is it really chocolate? i can't believe that. i can't bring myself to eat this gooey glob-" "EAT IT!!!" dear younger sister took one look at it, giggled, stuck her tounge out, complained about her rhumitism, etc. etc. my friend was not amused. she snatched her beautiful creation out of her dear sister's hand, glared at her, and shoved it into her own mouth. a shiver of delight ran down her spine. ahh...the bliss of chocolate and cherries. she murmered something no one caught and finaly opened her eyes slowly. her younger sister was standing there with a look of...was it disappiontment? "oh well." she said, shrugging her shoulders. "i didn't know it was real chocolate anyhow." her older sister looked down at her in distain. how could she doubt the wonderfulness of *chocolate*!? she shook her head sadly and ran off to tell me. where i immediately posted this sad comment. and the moral of my story? always trust your sweet, well-meaning older sisters.

(actually, come to think of it, all you guys who read this blog don't have older sisters!!!)

so i've noticed that i've been saying 'oops' a lot latley. i don't even know why. but this morning i was at my grandparents' house. their sink is weird. the hot water won't work unless you go under the sink, into the pipes and things, and turn a little knob. well, i was washing dishes. i was doing fine with the cold water but the house was cold and i felt that hot water would feel better. so, i opened the door under the sink, and as i was going down on my knees to turn the little knob, i steadied myself on the open door. well apparanetley i don't know me own strength. the door snapped off in my hands leaving me splat on the floor, door in my hand, and an apparanatly hilarious expression on my face. my grandma burst out laughing. well, i'm glad one of us did. i'm afraid that thing isn't even fixable. *looks at broken door* *shakes head* not even with duct tape. *looks sheepish*
