And the same to you! Our grandparents were going to come over to our house, but Grandma got sick, so it's just us. But that's ok, because I'm sure the kids can manage to eat enough to make up for the missing persons. :P Andrew doesn't have a long enough break to come home though, so that's kinda sad. But oh well. He's coming out for Christmas! Well, time for the womenfolk to go prepare the feast. ;)

i was just cleaning out my purse and i found this...(i don't know if i posted this before, but i'll post it again now...) conversation over-heard when the little kids were playing with the dolls... "boy, you're fat!" "i'm not fat!" "i wasn't talking to you. i was talking to the person next to you!" "but there's nobody next to me!" thanks for not calling me 'alex' luke. so...we made gingerbread men to put on the christmas tree. (thank you dr frescoln :) ) well....after we actually decorated them...i'm not so sure we're gonna put them up after all...(i'll go oldest to youngest) (these are the times when i wish i had a camera) me: i simply made a very very fat man in a green suit who is...umm...screaming...heh heh abigail: abigail made a very very fat person who's belly was in the shape of a heart. emma: her's was just a catch all for unwanted sprinkles and bits of icing. now it looks very fat. sophia: she tried to make mj but it turned out looking like a very fat doc ock. eliza: eliza's fell into a vat of toxic waste. now it's glowing luminescent green. and it's very fat. ethan: he made his very fat gingerbread man, bit off one arm and then put red icing all over the stump, proudly proclaiming that this fellow was worthy of a purple heart for his heroic acts of service to his country on the battle field. (only, not in so many words) so...i'm wondering..should we put them on the christmas tree, or not? p.s. the 'very fat'-ness of it all was icing. the men were quite thin...untill you put icing on them...

that was me btw. as you could probably guess. in other news...we did the 'spirit of christmas' thing, which included a very RUDE donkey who kept pushing madeline onto jacob's lap, and also kept head-butting me in the stomach and when i pushed it away it head-butted me in the rear end! talk about rude! and the other donkey was trying to eat john's shepherd's staff, and when he pulled it away the donkey bit him! and then, while we were trying to talk, the very rude animals kept braying very loudly.

eek! ice storm for three days! guess who's staying home from church today? :( madeline says she doesn't know how many people will be going to church. but i know the jones' won't have any trouble getting to church. they're (literally) a stone's throw away from the church. in other news...the house tour is today. whoopee. but then again...i don't know how many people will come to that either! in other other news...we had the jones' over friday night. (not all of them, dusty and john couldn't make it) but we had a pretty good time. daddy forced pastor jones and jacob to help him move the table (which jacob claimed he had moved all by himself) and i think daisy's new favorite person, (even above mama!) is jacob! she even fetched for him! and when i threw the toy and told her to fetch, she brought the toy back to jacob! honestly...some dogs are just plain crazy!!
